I am so glad to be seeing this. I have been trying to tell people this for ages. On Meta platforms like Threads, rage bait is the main thing that goes viral. It's psychologically damaging to immerse yourself in it. You have to take efforts to disengage with it, including off-app lifestyle changes.

Rafa Sales Ross@rafiews.com

Iโ€™m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Donโ€™t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

Small update again but the arms are now counter sunk into the sides and just need to find some darker wood filler to help with the small gaps and seams and can get it all glued and sanded. #woodworking

Another dry fit update. Not gonna lie I was expecting the splines to be more impactful but itโ€™s also a much larger box so should have considered a deeper cut but it is what it is. Tomorrow counter sunk the handles ans rounding over, sanding and it be done.

Early advice I was given: You are not "aspiring". You are. If you introduce yourself as "aspiring" you tell people that you don't think you're good enough, and you tell yourself you aren't good enough. You are not aspiring. You are, or you aren't. And you are, aren't you?

Type-9 Pixel Artist@busterhearts-type9.bsky.social

Bingo. That's why I hate the term "aspiring artist" Just wanting to create and improve in a craft is enough to be an artist. There's no badge or invisible line to cross to be one.

Sometimes you find a bank receipt on the ground and you see people are out here with six figures in their checking accounts. No interest or anything. Just raw dogging the checking.

Brazilians recommending not to amplify right-wing talking points by dunking and quoting, as a winning strategy Next day, my tl is full of people dunking on rfk jr I literally would not have seen the bigotry if it wasn't for y'all repeating it. That's exactly what the Brazilians were on about!

cool, cool

I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's worth; banks are going bust; shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter; punks are running wild in the street, and

So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window, open it, and stick your head out and yell, "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!!"

I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's worth; banks are going bust; shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter; punks are running wild in the street, and

"Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my TV and my steel-belted radials, and I won't say anything. Just leave us alone." Well, I'm not going to leave you alone. I want you to get mad! I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot.

I don't want you to write to your Congressman, because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crime in the street. All I know is that first, you've got to get mad.

I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's worth; banks are going bust; shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter; punks are running wild in the street, and

there's nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it. We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat. And we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that today we had fifteen homicides and sixty-three violent crimes,

as if that's the way it's supposed to be! We all know things are bad -- worse than bad -- they're crazy. It's like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't go out any more. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we're living in is getting smaller, and all we say is,

I drew that circle with my human hand holding a pen on the screen btw. Just thought you'd appreciate the human to human touch I did for no reason.

yeh tbh if AI is so great you should be proud of it, you should disclose it everywhere and put a bunch of stickers yourself that you used it for your project showing everyone how cool and cutting edge you are, no? like, it's the future right? you love it right??

One of my proudest achievements was the time someone on reddit insulted my Artwork by saying "let me guess, you're a freshman graphic artist?" And let me tell you, that was such a compliment for me. I've never been to college.

The slower it takes you to do the mechanical execution, the more opportunity you have to think about whether what you're doing is good.

Tim Sweeney was funny last week but now it's just genuinely sad to see someone so lost, so alone, publicly crashing out so hard.

The leaked Mass Effect 5 trailer is everything that I wanted from the series and it really sucks that we will never see it now. A return to form, with modern ideas.

Today's words of affirmation come from Vin Jay's "Manifest" Start combining execution with your education Fall in love with the journey to make for better patience Keep your focus on the mission never get complacent Cuz direction that you facing determines destination

holy shit I participated in these next fests and I could *feel* the volume increasing. I did the July 2026 one and it was miserably crowded. I feel for everyone trying just to get seen.

I have been trying to put it to words for several months now and I think I have found it. my entire life trajectory was oriented towards "being good at things", I sacrificed quite a lot to get where I am today, and now society has deemed expertise not very valuable anymore

my entire life trajectory was oriented towards "being good at things", I sacrificed quite a lot to get where I am today, and now society has deemed expertise not very valuable anymore and for what little remains, AI/people using AI will siphon it out of you the very moment they smell it in the air

I used to post my really terrible art online, and people would tell me I was shit and that I will never be an artist and that I need to quit and that I should get a real job. So I sacrificed everything, my friends, lovers, money, to get better at my craft. And now they tell me it has no value anyway

After my game jam video, I've been getting a lot of comments telling me something like this. Not only did I beat 300+ people, I made a whole game and a whole video at the same time, by myself, without Al. Suck my nuts.

I *do* think I'm better than people who use AI. Because I don't need artificial help to do something. I'm capable of everything that I can imagine. I'm a fully actualized human being with developed cognitive skills.

I used to develop mobile apps. You know what made me quit? I found out that literally hundreds of apps are released every day You can work for months on your app, and no matter when you release it, you'll just be 1/100 for that day. We are at that point with video games now too. Worrying.

I've been trying to tell people all year that the market is flooded. Over 60 games release on Steam every day. But people keep telling me that tons of games are making tons of money! They don't see the stats I see. They don't understand that almost no one is profitable in 2026.

zagawee@zachisagardner.bsky.social

just wanted to share something i discovered the amount of games released in 2022 compared to this year has increased by 77%. I use 2022 because that marks the last year before AI really took over the internet whats crazy to me is that the amount of games with ZERO REVIEWS has ALMOST TRIPLED. ZERO?

He's right, you can make a game with a simple prompt, as long as that game is snake or flappy bird or any other tutorial type game. Or the type of game that is "load assets into an engine and walk around and/or shoot" As far as real games, weird how they talk about it but don't actually do it, huh?
