What about if AI were only allowed to provide answers and do tasks that it is specifically instructed to do? I think that would be a good principle to start from. How is it that we hear AI "agents" are doing things that nobody told them to do and are illegal and harmful? We need licensing and fines.

Lula's win by 4 million votes is not only great for people and the environment, it's great for democracy. It also shows why "first part the post" in multi-candidate elections is unsatisfactory. If it had been used in the Brazilian presidential election, a president for the minority would have won.

Bolsonaro's loss is not just a loss for Bolsonaro. It's a loss for Trump. For Musk. For Milei. For Netanyahu. For Farage. For Meta and Zuckerberg. For the meat barons, the fossil fuel corporations, and the rest of the neocolonial looters. And it is a massive win for humanity and the living planet.

Idea for volunteers. If someone who knows hairdressing could visit ladies in hospitals or care homes or living housebound and give them haircuts. It would be so wonderful. Details to be worked out. Payment optional? Maybe do rounds. #Hairdressing #Volunteers #Charities #NHS #Hospitals #Housebound

Elon Musk is a dickhead. One day everyone who outlives him will be richer than Elon Musk, because he can't take it with him. I look forward to that day.

Someone should follow Donald Trump everywhere he goes, dressed up as a duck with a blonde wig and a bandaged leg, and quacking a duck lure. #LameDuck #MidTerms #QuackQuack

Front page and page 3 of tonight's Evening Standard. Dua Lipa has another 3-page feature inside, as I've just discovered. Wow, the cover and four pages of Dua Lipa. It's more like a glamour mag on newsprint than the old daily Evening Standard. /...

Guess who's curating the 2026 London Literature Festival, featured on the front page and wraparound advert in tonight's Evening Standard. I'm going to say I'd like to read her book. What?! ɐdᴉ˥ ɐnp s,ʇI

It's Fridays only now and by the way, they can't even give it away. They're piled up outside Paddington Station in the rain with their accompanying magazines. And I haven't seen anyone else of the thousands passing by pick one up, other than me two Fridays in a row.

Correction: The left page is true actual front page of the Standard. The one on the right is actually page 3.

What's the difference between Trump and Zelensky? Zelensky gave up his career as a comedian when he became president.

It’s come to something when a photographer has to get legal advice, before displaying this photo in an exhibition, due to the risk of being prosecuted as a terrorist, but that’s exactly what I had to do yesterday. What a state this country is in.

If Putin stops fighting, the war ends. If Zelensky stops fighting then his country will be occupied, leaders murdered, language banned, businesses stolen, children kidnapped. That's what happens in Russian-occupied Ukraine.

"Once out of nature I shall never take My bodily form from any natural thing, But such a form as Grecian goldsmiths make Of hammered gold and gold enamelling To keep a drowsy Emperor awake; Or set upon a golden bough to sing To lords and ladies of Byzantium Of what is past, or passing, or to come."

we could make mechanical birds more affordable if the government invested in automaton trade schools, built more housing so craftspeople can afford to pursue this noble trade, and lowered trade barriers with countries that also produce mechanical singing birds
