I do this several times a day. Simons law: By the time you have found the response gif you were looking for the funny side of what you were going to post has diminished somewhat and you just close your social media app instead with a small amount of relief that you didn’t reply.

Welcome to #SEOPundayMonday, the new Bluesky hashtag game to bring a bit of fun to kick-off your week. Here's all you need to know to join in...

Have a powercut - wife can’t watch strictly - i’m currently cooking a risotto on the gas hob by candlelight with a glass of Chianti (channeling Keith Floyd) and the log burner is keeping us warm. A cold wind blows in from the East…

Well have a client on 123reg (Go Daddy owned) and they still have not patched the PHP. I have had to shut the WP site withhtaccess so its not vulnerable. Can't get anything out of 123reg when the fix will happen (of course) so I have set up a cron job to ping me every 30 mins with the php version.

So 123reg put up a notice on their status page declaring that all thier severs were now patched. I know that CPanel doesn't show the sub versions but the WP install does, when its running, and my cron job is also telling me that the 123reg server this site is on is not patched. #Tut

Thought I'd pop in on an old chum I'd not seen for a while... Oh. Does Bing use Yandex servers?

Some of you have been asking whether or not Vivaldi is affected by Chrome’s #AI API, which some websites are using for tracking purposes. The answer is straight-forward: no. ✌️ We disable all the Gemini-related code bundled in Chromium, effectively preventing websites from using this API in Vivaldi.

Depending on what side of LinkedIn you're on, you're going to run across JEV, hyped as the new shit of LLMs. It is not. It's the marketing hype of discriminative models, induced by some folks discovering that frontier LLMs really shouldn't be used for classification tasks (for a bunch of reasons)

Good morning @tomwatsonofficial.bsky.social Your journey from MP who most understood the Cambridge Analytica scandal to paid-up Palantir apologist is really quite the journey. Hope the pay packet is worth it. 💰 Here’s some background reading ahead of your first day 🧵👇

OSX27 is better then 26 so far though you know all those warnings about universal apps not working in future versions of OSX - thats hit home now. Had to reinstall Git, and 4 other apps, Divvy isn't working and I really liked the keyboard shortcuts in Divvy. so far - good.

I ponied up for Rectangle Pro to sort out my window positioning shortcuts - surprised I had not come across this before - Divvy was good though - this may well be a lot better! At least it works with OSX27! rectangleapp.com
