alwaysDNS is in public beta! 🚀 A desktop app to manage your DNS domains and records across multiple providers + a lot more to come. Available for macOS, Windows and Linux! Sharing it and giving it a try would mean a lot to me. 🙏 get.alwaysdns.app #buildinpublic

Working on tiny improvements this Sunday evening because I don't want to break things before launching this week. 🤞 And you? 🙂 #buildinpublic

the AWS cost forecast: -10% compared to last month's total costs 🤗 reality: +15% compared to last month's total costs 🤭 ever frickin month, I swear 😅

Can't tell you how happy I am to finally have these 4 files together. ☺️ #buildinpublic #crossplatform

macOS ✅ And with that all three major platforms are supported! Phew 😮‍💨, having enough of working in virtual machines for now. Will be sharing some learnings later on. Next step, launching the initial beta release so people can give the app a try. 👍 #buildinpublic

The amount of emotion around different choices of tooling is crazy. "You can insult my mom, but don't make fun of the conditionals syntax in <insert arbitrary web framework here> 😡" 😂

#cycling isn't really the best hobby when you travel regularly but it's just too good to give it up 🚴❤️

☝ desktop app, ✌platforms left, running natively on Linux right, running inside a Windows VM built from a single code base macOS next! #buildinpublic

What's your take on native vs "the web way" when building desktop apps with Electron, Tauri or Wails? system dialog or modal native menu bar or sidebar layout OS-level notifications or toasts in app window I usually feel drawn to the web way but doesn't that miss the point of a desktop app? 🤔

Managing DNS domains across different providers is cumbersome. Currently building a desktop app to make it easy. Supporting Cloudflare, Route53 and Vercel + a lot more to come. Will be available for Linux, MacOS and Windows. Drop me a DM if you want to give it a try. 🙂 #buildinpublic #indiedev

Quite happy with the initial reception of DressDaisy 🥳 Thanks to everyone giving it a shot and for all the positive feedback! Enjoy the time with your beloved ones and recharge your batteries for 2025! 🙏

One aspect that people often forget about when praising one-time payments > subscription, is the level of responsibility you are getting yourself into. With one, your commitment ends once the customer stops paying. With the other you are essentially engaged for an unlimited amount of time.

Is anyone aware of a desktop app that ships with a local, assumingly lightweight, AI model? Have a few use cases in mind but I doubt that the average consumer hardware is capable of delivering an acceptable user experience, e.g. not having to wait 30 seconds for a response.

so essentially I wrote functions like: - navigate to url - find button, input link - enter text into input that wrap certain Playwright functionality and handed them over to the LLM based on the user's input the LLM then decides to call the functions with the appropriate params quite fun stuff 🙂

it's a little afternoon project of mine that I did to learn about LLM tools the browser you are seeing is operated by Playwright, a browser that you can control via code

folks, don't get discouraged by seemingly low web analytics numbers the majority of people use tracking blockers (rightfully imo) instead, check your server logs from time to time they tell the actual truth 🙂

Anyone else having trouble with gemini-2.0-flash-exp following the provided system instructions? 🤔

things like #RaycastWrapped are a top notch marketing strategy people share these without end with very little effort on raycast's side
