Having my office not directly connected to the house kinda sucks ngl.. Going out and around outside to the shed to game is such a buzz kill. Especially with all the bugs and lizards.

Watching the hive mind turn on Ed Sheeran is wild. It's one thing to be disappointed that he didn't blow up the tour standing 10 toes down with Macklemore. But to pretend like y'all never fucked with him in the first place? Y'all wild for that one.

Console wars are funny.. XBox shit the bed a few months ago. So we all thought Sony was gonna reign from here on out. Now Sony has some negative shit and we're gonna act like they are done. Meanwhile Nintendo announces Zelda.

Cutting ties with Kojima and poor Wolverine reviews are just the latest issues in a difficult generation for PlayStation. IGN's Matt Purslow on how the platform's future has never looked bleaker: https://bit.ly/4xRHA8w

I can't be the only dummy who has a hard time following the overarching story for X-Men 97? Was the original this disjointed or they just figured we older now so we should be better at joining all the arcs and episodes together?

The way the Internet made us value "free" in ways that ruined news and media, then killed off the record industry while reshaping it in ways that serve the platforms and not the artists, and then killed the architects and craftsmen who contributed to it all with AI. Funny thing, the Internet.

We surprised? People post in the ether hoping to be heard and seen. Bluesky does a horrible job of that. Same post cross posted on Threads will get tens of thousands of views, comments and shares on Threads and not even a chirp on here. You want to grow an audience? Bluesky ain't the place.

Not to mention the discoverability on Bluesky requires you to seek it out. Everything on Threads is fine tuned and served to you on a plastic cafeteria tray with just what you were craving. And yes its by design - but let's face it. It can get boring here.

Then again that's the beauty of the internet. You have the choice to go where you want and use what fits your needs or scratches your itch. We don't need everyone in the same room.

Telus got 99 problems... Their cell coverage is ass compared to Rogers so they're bleeding gen-pop customers, while leaning heavy on business accounts. Their big bet on AI and going in on the Data Centers is iffy and gonna bleed em dry imo, but how much more bearish can I be?

ca.finance.yahoo.comWhat’s Going on With Telus After Q2 Earnings?Telus (TSX:T) is no longer that same high-yield star; it's a deep-value turnaround play. The post What’s Going on With Telus After Q2 Earnings? appeared first on The Motley Fool Canada.

Didn't the infamous pothead and weed connoisseur, Joe Rogan, move his entire camp from L.A to Austin because the evil socialists in California were impeding on his freedoms? It's been fun watching all the mental gymnastics he's been doing lately.

Team Talarico@teamtalaricohq.bsky.social

James Talarico on Texas officially banning THC: “Texans aren’t going to stop smoking weed and eating edibles because politicians in Austin say so. We are now telling full-grown adults how to live their lives. This is the nanny state at its worst; this is big government at its worst."

The thing with the current administration is it's never that deep. They'll fabricate every ounce of rage they can. The most vulnerable in our society will gleefully latch on to every word.

Everyone thinks this is great until they realize they're using this to help train their AI models to produce content that is less "slop" like making it harder to identify AI slop and seem truth-ier. People gonna start injecting prompts with "make a spelling mistake and throw in a run on sentence"

The whole personality of this deal just feels very Trumpian. Not that Infantino isn't a capable ass hat on his own, but a bit of a boost from Big Orange and he's proven he's capable of worse. This doesn't seem thought through in the slightest. Trump told him it's easy just do it, and the 🤡 did

Can somebody get Apex and CoD working on SteamOS already... I now i'm hitting ya'll with some basic fuck boy energy, but The Finals alone just aint cutting it. Thank you.

Something went sideways once tech CEO's started to get put on pedestals for making billions and seen as these grandiose problem solvers and thought leaders that captured government. Or maybe it was just the donations. It really started with Gates and Jobs and just spiraled from there.

My latest! Free to read for today only “The concern here is not necessarily about views expressed by people like Tobias Lütke, but rather how much power they have to turn those views into public policy” I wrote abt Shopify’s access to and influence on govt policies www.hilltimes.com/2026/07/29/w...

I hate the CoD itch. The urge to want to just play Rebirth Island or zone out mindlessly in Shipment and Nuke Town. How much psychological manipulation went into creating that deep ingrained itch while grinding camos that has me tempted to reinstall Windows just to hop on for 10 minutes.

Sports gambling definitely one of those things that if you're still actively doing it past your 20s and well into your 30s you should seek help. I ain't trying to hear about no 40 year olds failed parlay.

Sorry, the guy who was disbarred for surveilling a sitting judge is going to opine on....privacy rights? Never change, National Post. Not that you could at this point. #cdnpoli

Odyssey discourse on my timeline is: Academics - This was a bland rendition of Homers poems portraying characters with the emotional depth of dry mud. But the storm scenes were cool. Everyone Else - This was amazing. The characters the writing, the layers - WOW! Incels - There were black people

Have yet to get past the 5% mark in GTA 5... I hear it gets good though.

For me it’s Horizon Zero Dawn. Started that game FIVE times before i could stand getting through the start and actually play the damn thing. God of War 2018’s is in a similar boat. Too slow, too long, too much goddamn chatter.

Man seeing people's chatgpt logs on the stand is gonna be rough... Gonna need a dedicated subreddit for ai-chatlogs-exposed.

ChatGPT requests are starting to turn up as evidence in criminal trials and these ones are going to be hard to beat

Gaming PC all packed up and i keep telling myself that soon as i unpack it Imma make a real effort at playing through my back catalogue.... I made 0 such attempts this year with it beside me.

Like at what point is he no longer trolling and meme-ing and considered willfully antagonizing the mentally deficient to act?

"First the traitors then the invaders" is Elon Musk endorsing an open call to prioritise political murders + assassinations before violence against migrants and minorities. Still little recognition in the UK government at the persistence of the promotion of political violence - inc murder - by Musk

Baffles me there are still people who truly consider him one of the greatest minds of our time. I think Musk is a classic example of better to be thought of as an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Sunder Katwala (sundersays)@sundersays.bsky.social

Elon Musk, owner of X, has called the editor of the Economist "a traitor to the West, plain and simple" after her recent interview with him. He now argues that "anyone who opposes remigration is a traitor" Musk has been socialising violence since Aug25: "fight or die, that's what it comes down to"

While I'd be compelled to allow some kind of mandatory understanding of civics before allowing people to vote i also recognize that would also disproportionately favor those with higher economic status overall. End of the day every which way we end up with some kind of classist divide.

Very cool that Shopify’s CEO thinks the poor should have far less of a vote than the rich. Still worth that ad read money, folks?
