Finally got around to setting up a dev server within Cinder, for easy testing of different setups. Instantly discovered and fixed five different little bugs. Time well spent! #ElixirLang

Decided to do some gaming for the first time in ages, started Blue Prince. Wait where tf did my entire weekend go

The tech industry is losing good people because of all of this AI bullshit and the current state of the market. I’m mad and sad but don’t know what I can do about it :(

TIL when I use international roaming on my phone, it actually tunnels all my traffic through a host back in Australia. Makes trying to test deploying my app in multi-region, fun! No wonder I kept hitting Sydney instead of Stockholm…

Why are there still companies out there that don't ship to parcel lockers??? Was so excited to pick up a bunch of stuff from Stylevana on sale but nooooooope

Tier list for Indian-owned teams in the Hundred, worst to best: 4. MI London - never ever ever liked MI or any of their derivatives. (See: Hardik Pandya) And they killed my Oval Invincibles! And "My London" sounds stupid. And they started this disasterous trend of cringey team songs. And.... 🧵

3. Southern Brave - An Indian team in everything but name. They lose points for not just embracing it and changing the name too. Are they hiding? 2. Manchester Super Giants - AI sloppin' all over the place on social media and with the ugliest jerseys ever. Plus, elephants, in Manchester? Why?

1. Sunrisers Hyde^H^H^H^HLeeds - at least they kept the chip theme by being Doritos! Plus they have a big Aussie connection (in the IPL anyway). They can stay, I guess!

Rules I use to determine who to cheer for in a cricket match (part 1): 1. Is Australia playing? Then cheer for Australia 2. Is England playing? Then cheer for whoever England is playing against (because lol England) 3. Is an associate member playing against a full member? (cont)

(part 2) 3. ...Then cheer for the associate member (for maximum lols) 4. Is New Zealand or South Africa playing? Then cheer for them (when they play each other, it's a toss up) 5. Else, pick whichever I like more on the day ✌️

I’ve discovered the awesomeness of hair forks - I am now totally unstoppable (and on a mission to find cool brightly coloured ones)

Let's highlight dialogue topics that are relevant to quests, and link to the quests! #Morrowind #Goatmire #ElixirLang

"The Nerevarine Prophecy was encoded in little-endian floats." I believe this is the first time I've been sold on a talk in the first line of the submission. Rebecca Le is the author behind the Ash book. What a first topic to speak on. goatmire.com/talk/video-g... #elixirlang #goatmire

goatmire.comVideo Game Archaeology with Elixir by Rebecca LeThe Nerevarine Prophecy was encoded in little-endian floats. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is a 24-year-old RPG whose entire world - every quest, NPC, spell, and line of dialogue - is packed into…

Two of the cricket teams I support have now been killed by the IPLification of franchise leagues. I hate it I hate it I hate it Melbourne Stars and Oval Invincibles forever

Tried to buy a Big Freeze beanie today but they were sold out at my local Bunnings - everyone is doing their bit to support the fight against MND 💙 Will get a digital one instead! bigfreeze.com.au #BigFreeze

In the waning years of the Third Era of Tamriel, a prisoner born on a certain day to uncertain parents was sent under guard, without explanation, to Morrowind, ignorant of the role he was to play in that nation's history... --Today is the 24 anniversary of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind!

Stop making me want to play ESO to see all the places I haven't been yet aaaaaaargh

Ordered some cricket merchandise late on Monday night, shipping from India. Less than four days later, it’s on my doorstep. Global logistics are amazing!

My husband just asked me what I thought would happen if we tried a global push for good like there was to get rid of CFCs in the 1980s. Yeah, I really don't think that would happen these days.

There Is No Antimemetics Division may just be the wildest book I've ever read. My brain is now goo. In a good way. I think. I enjoyed it a lot. I think?

Dear self, please get the motivation to finish/maintain your existing projects/responsibilities before getting the urge to start new ones. Sincerely, me

So I said I’d post another photo of my epic cross stitch project when I reached the 20% mark - that day is today! Unrolling it, it feels both underwhelming and overwhelming at the same time 🤪 (Top to bottom is exactly 72.3cm, or almost 29 inches)

Looking to replace hub's very aging Dell laptop - trying to figure out what is good and what is junk in the Windows laptop world is an absolute nightmare....

This has made my day much better

Whatever is going on in your life, we hope this little animation of a troll from The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard will do something for you.

Watched one Simon Whistler-narrated video on YouTube, set in my state of Western Australia, and now my feed is absolutely filled with his videos. How does the man have like four thousand different channels, and all of them are utterly fascinating?

Gah why did Bridgerton season 4 have to release in two parts and now I have to wait a month for the second half??? First half was soooo good

My husband fixed the lever on my lounge recliner so I can use the footrest again, and I think this is the happiest I've been in months

Because I reached another mini-milestone on my epic cross-stitch project, I thought I'd share another photo. I'm currently at 18.5%! And this is just a tiny zoomed-in bit - when I get to 20%, I might unroll it and take a photo of the whole thing so far 😎

One of the other goals I set for myself this year was to get back into language learning. I did pass the N5 Japanese exam at the end of 2024, do I continue that and aim for N4 this year? Or do I start learning Korean, or continue with my Esperanto studies? Decisions, decisions...

So one of my goals for this year is to blog more. But I never know what to write about - what do I know that people would want to hear about??
