these days im not even sure if there is a blameless way to hate anything. i think the only way to dislike something correctly is to truly love it

just so you all know the games i'm making in my head are like, way better than all the games i see on here lol. you guys should get better at making games

clicking the source link on danbooru to share art with my X-using friends so they don't think i'm a pervert. sending the danbooru link to my bluesky perverts so they know i'm not an X user

do NOT hand me the aux i WILL play the smiling broadly cover of Breakbeats by Pasteboard off the soundtrack to Mae and Hazel Invade the Channel Awesome Movies (2025).

if you, like me, fell in love with 2020's Keep Your Hands off Eizouken, i beg you please read the manga too. the material covered in the anime is a great story about making art, but the rest of the manga is about so much more. about learning, and curiosity, and battling adulthood. and sakaki sowande

seriously sowande gets so much more fleshed out in the manga and oh my god i love her so much. every character in this series is so bleedingly passionate and full of conviction, just beset with terrible purpose. it's a thrill to watch them collide with each other

feeling fed up with modern programming, i've been learning how to write Pascal using FreePascal. the syntax is very funky, but it's so refreshing to use something old and stable that doesn't get in the way... maybe this is how i start enjoying coding again :)

this language has so many neat little ahead-of-its-time ideas. like, you can put case-statements inside a record (struct) declaration to make a tagged union, and you can print enums no problem.

> tell bro i want to roll him up in a katamari and make him a star in my sky forever > bro doesnt understand katamari damacy's central metaphor of rolling up and collecting things as an expression of deep fondness for them > bro thinks i want to imprison him in a star forever and gets really scared

I want a game that uses The Portopia Serial Murder Case's same insanely well crafted narrative system and wonderful writing... ...but it's about a young man trying to defeat the evil Dragonlord and save the world in a charming high-fantasy setting.

i need to practice talking... it feels very hard to express myself in words on-the-fly. surely that's something that i can get better at with exercise, right?

played THE OREGON TRAIL (1990). maybe games don't have to be about fantasy or science fiction to be thrilling, and maybe they don't even need to let you kill dudes
