This news from the DOJ came out around the time that the bans against CNN, Politico and MSNOW were announced and folks may have missed it. If you are trans, in Pennsylvania, and utilize UPMC, this affects you. My colleague, Charlie Thompson, takes a look at this agreement.

I don't post much about Namesake outside of its home on Patreon / it's website with all the weird ai stuff going around... But I wanted to show off my favorite panels from the current chapter! Its all about princess Ozma and the Emerald City! [namesakecomic.com 》updates Thursdays ✨️]

Fun fact: Dolly Parton spent decades quietly funding band uniforms and instruments at Black high schools across the South - never once putting her name on it. No headlines, no fanfare — just help, given because it was needed. Wonderful Heart ♥️ RIP Dolly ❤️

Hey @glitchprod.com, the warehouse that ships your limited edition stuff needs to do better. Pomni the popcorn bucket had seen things before she arrived on my front door today, and she's already got a deep scratch across the top. No padding whatsoever in the box. I'm just glad she's not broken.

Hey Pittsburgh-area journalists! Are you looking for a newspaper gig? Do you possibly want me as a boss? We have four openings right now out there: two part-time social media creators, a full-time food and dining reporter and a full-time high school sports reporter. Threading the links below. 👇

I'm absolutely appalled that Tim Hortons has chosen to partner with the Harry Potter franchise, and enrich JK Rowling, whose unapologetic and public bigotry targets a tiny and incredibly vulnerable queer minority group. You can call Tim Hortons and tell them the same at 1-888-601-1616.

It's baaaaack... our SUMMER ART MARKET! We've dropped the goblin branding because there are more goblin markets popping up and also crows are like sky goblins already? Mark your calendars for 8/15 for an afternoon of local artist and comic friends plus more stuff to be announced as we figure it out!

Healing from surgery is going well, but I am moving slower than I anticipated. We took the bandages off today, and it looks like I have a hand 🍆. Not posting photos, I don't want to make anyone look at a surgical site without consent. So here are my nurses.

Baby’s first surgery, carpal tunnel release on my left hand. I’m home now and my husband and friends are taking wonderful care of me. The nerve, to use the medical term, was “smushed.”

I'm finally starting to break the writer's block and would love to do non-fiction writing again featuring my photography. I miss LiveJournal. Where do people post that sort of thing these days? Substack? Medium? Tumblr? I feel weird using our Patreon for that since it's mostly comics.

I wouldn't be where I am without the VizEds forum and the people I met through it. I wish something like this still existed for journalists, especially those of us still specializing in visual mediums. Sometimes, in my job as a social media lead for a newsroom, I feel very alone in what I do.

Let me pose an existential question: Would we have been better off if we never had a single place where we could all post snarky quips, but instead used a bunch of shitty web forums that barely worked? Mayhaps. tedium.co/2026/07/01/o... new @tedium.co

This is my latest love letter to Costco. I've been at my grocery store pharmacy for roughly 3 years since rage quitting CVS, and they're great. But they're out of progestin with no ETA, and I can't be off it for long. They said to call to another pharmacy. So, on a whim, I tried Costco.

And then, on top of the savings, the pharmacist calls me. He makes sure I'm comfortable with everything, tells me how to enroll in the pay ahead program so I just come in with a QR code for my meds, and is super, super nice. My flabbers are gasted by just how kind the Costco pharmacy workers are.

I transferred the prescription and poof, ready a couple hours later. Not just a 1 month supply. Three months for $20. At my regular pharmacy, it's $30 for 3 months. Other meds start to need a refill, so I transferred 5 more over.

For 3 meds it's: P: $30 for 3 months, C: $20 P: $6.12 for 3 months, C: $3.38 One med was 100% covered in both places It doesn't seem like a lot, but I haven't transferred the big guns over yet: Ozempic, Jardiance, and my HRT. That is where I hope to save the most and avoid supply issues. Me:
