I know there's a lot going on but I feel it should probably be more of an above-the-fold story that members of Congress released a thoroughly documented report directly accusing the president of the United States of being a serial rapist.

Congrats to Lula on overcoming Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump to defeat Hospital Pervert Jr., even as his opposition literally blocked off roads and turned off bus service during election day. Fascists are scary but they are always, 100% of the time, ultimately gigantic fucking losers.

Unquestionably true. I and so many others identified Trump v. United States as a dagger plunged into America’s heart the morning it was issued. When Roberts dies, I hope they bury him with that opinion stuffed into his mouth.

Cristian Farias@cristianfarias.com

The only thing I’ll add to this fine statement is that vindictive prosecutions are now a feature, not a bug, of our constitutional system, thanks to Trump v. United States. Unless and until Congress adopts deep, structural measures, presidential harassment through the criminal system won’t go away.

❗❗❗Mark Zuckerberg's meta just suspended the No Kings Instagram account. I just rushed back from my local No Kings to jump on this. Bottom line, would be helpful for all pro-No Kings folks to elevate the issue and help us get the word out about No Kings today. The Nerd Reich strikes again.

GOOD LORD. And $77m that's totally "anonymous." But some of these companies aren't ones that you traditionally think of as "evil." But it shows just how pervasive corruption is in Washington, generally and specifically more so under Trump. It's all pay to play. newrepublic.com/post/216672/...

Ain’t it wacky how the Supreme Court has recognized that jury verdicts that depart from the instructions given by prosecutors and the court are unreviewable and can serve “as a check against arbitrary or oppressive exercises of power by the Executive Branch.”

Yes, yes, the authoritarian president is leading a hate-filled rally in which he urges his followers to physically assault protesters but do NOT call any of these people Nazis or you will make David Brooks sad.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

holy shit -- a protester at the Trump rally gets physically assaulted after they interrupt the rally by a man who punches her in the face. Trump smears the protester as a "fat guy"

Every coach on the Seahawks staff should be absolutely embarrassed by the last five minutes of that half — with the play call that resulted in the fumble in the end zone a firing offense. Horrible coaching. #Seahawks.

About fucking time. These goons have grown accustomed to thinking Ds will never really punch back.

a grandmotherly woman just got booted from the Trump rally for protesting, and she went out like a hero talking trash and flipping the double bird

Nauseating. A grotesque betrayal of the US, our values and our allies. The United States has no greater enemy than Donald Trump.

Trump: "I think you heard about the oil deal with Russia. That is a big deal. That is massive amounts of oil coming into our country, and I want to thank President Putin to be honest with you."

Prayers up for my buddy Eric Schmitt! After a tough day at work he forgot to pull his pants down before taking a shit & had to waddle home as loose turds periodically fell out of his pant leg.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

🤡 Schmitt beclowns himself 🤡 Schmitt concocted an elaborate conspiracy theory that Smith traveled to Atl for a Hawks game and to collude with Fani Willis, & flashed his "evidence" before accusing Smith of perjury. There's just one problem -- his facts were totally wrong. Here's the whole sequence:

I found watching Trump’s UN speech today deeply depressing. It is a matter of national shame and humiliation that he is our president. Every country in the world, friend and foe alike, sees we are governed by a vainglorious fool.

In this particular case, it’s not a compliment to the Supreme Leader of Iran that the President of the United States is his ethical and moral inferior.

Joe Walsh@walshfreedom.bsky.social

Iran’s Supreme Leader is correct. Sadly. Trump’s signature is worthless, he has zero credibility on the world stage, the entire world laughs at him, and he lies as he breathes. Someone else is gonna have to end this war because Trump is incapable of it.👇

If the Baltimore Orioles were to win a World Series -- a moment I've waited on for four decades now -- and showed up as a team to grip and grin with a corrupt, racist, pedophilic narcissist who debases our republic at every turn, I would never be seen at Camden Yards again. Fuck the L.A. Dodgers.

Yes, well, I’m 64 and I think they’re fucking idiots.

Marco Rubio is currently delivering a very boring speech railing against "communism." These guys really think they're cooking by trying to revive the Red Scare. Ain't gonna work with people under 60 years old.

Because the Neo Nazis are our friends.

This is really striking. It really is a gratuitous middle finger to the trans community by a horrible, hateful old man whose goal now seems to be as corrosively ugly as possible as he prepares to leave this world (let that day be soon).

9 years ago, NBC gave this woman $20 million a year to host a morning talk show and be one of the top faces of its news division.

When I read District Judge Reyes’ opinion earlier this year excoriating Trump and Noem for their blatant racism in this case, I remember thinking that even the Supreme Court — even *this* Court — can’t possibly whitewash something this overt. I was unbelievably fucking wrong. There is no bottom.

Compare Alito's description of Trump's racist statements (on the left) to Justice Kagan's anthology of Trump's racist statements (on the right). These are passages from this morning's opinions in Mullin v. Doe.
