Saw a great TED talk about what the Brits did to take advantage of Germans' frustration with Hitler using fringe media. That's the kind of resistance we need to create--one ready to make sure the right people get blamed for the mess that's coming.

Portland is not "war ravaged." This is delusional and dangerous. Sending troops into American cities doesn't make our communities safer — it just stokes fear and stirs up chaos. Trump is plunging further into authoritarianism every single day.

Taken just a few minutes ago outside the ICE facility in Portland that Trump claims is under siege. My message to Donald Trump is this: we don’t need you here. Stay the hell out of our city.

You thought it was bad that Republicans were attacking school lunches to give tax breaks to billionaires? They've also hidden private school vouchers in the bill. So not only will public school kids go hungry, their schools will see resources siphoned off for private schools.

Immigrants are not invading America. The "invasion" has been implanted in MAGA brains (by Fox, Heritage, Tucker) like a psyop. They are told this over and over again. So, of course, MAGAs think Trump is liberating American cities. It's the most logical conclusion from their perspective.

seems like trump mainly uses “low IQ” to describe black people. of a piece with his birtherism and his insistence that there are specific, low-wage “black jobs” that must be protected from immigrants

I listened to President Trump call Rep. Jasmine Crockett a "low IQ individual" and I realized I had heard that before, so put the question to ChatGPT.

Trump on China: "They made a trillion dollars with Biden selling us stuff. Much of it we don't need. Somebody said, 'oh, the shelves are gonna be open.' Well, maybe the children will have two dolls instead of 30 dolls, and maybe the two dolls will cost a couple of bucks more."

Trump is openly refusing to comply with the Supreme Court. It is a constitutional crisis when a sitting president refuses to acknowledge the autonomy of Judicial Branch. This is THE line, Chuck Schumer-where are you?? Fellow Democrats, please ask Schumer to step aside, we need new leadership.

Trump was asked whether Hegseth is incompetent and should be replaced and he replied—confirming he has no idea who he's bombing in Yemen because he doesn't read briefing books and also doesn't care—"Ask the Hooties" Keep in mind this moron hears the correct pronunciation of "Houthis" 20 times daily

Glad I have my passport ready in case Trump makes it to the bottom of his enemies list.

8/ This is a watershed moment, as Trump thumbs his nose at a Supreme Court ruling, gaslighting the public by pretending his won 9-0 when he lost 9-0. If we normalize this, there's no end. He can lock up or remove anyone. We will no longer exist in a democracy.

do I have this right? Donald Trump is just going to crash the world economy every three months — and then pretend to save it, over and over, while his cronies rake in untold billions on his shameless market manipulation, is that it? fucking hell

Rep. Steven Horsford to Greer: "So the trade representative hasn't spoken to the POTUS about a global reordering of trade, but yet he announced it on a tweet? WTF! Who is in charge? It looks like your boss just pulled the rug out from under you. There is no strategy ... is this market manipulation?"

The IRS unit that audits ultrawealthy earners has lost 38% of its employees this year. This will starve the government of revenue by making it easier for the rich to evade taxes — which the top 1% already do to the tune of $163B a year. See what DOGE is really about?

Burn it all to the ground and buy up the land and water and minerals at rock bottom prices. This a fire sale for the oligarchy. How do I know? They’ve already done it to rural America…

The whole trump administration is a walking textbook example of Dunning-Kruger effect. They are just too stupid to objectively measure their own incompetence. "The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people with limited competence in a particular domain overestimate their abilities."

100 billionaire families spent $2.6 billion in the 2024 election. 70% of these donations went to Republicans. Now, Republicans in Congress are gearing up to slash essential programs to pay for another round of tax cuts for the rich. This is what oligarchy looks like.
