Not to toot our own horns (much), but we ran a Kickstarter for the first official supplement for NINJA BORG in June and we projected shipping to backers in October. First delivery landed at 10:14AM CDT today, several more since, more through the week. 53% shipped.

I don't think there is anything sketchier than making your Kickstarter updates "backer only". I get using it as a tool if you want to give backers a peek at exclusive content, but if they are accepting late pledges and update after update—hidden—that's a waring sign you should stay far away.
