In my heart, I believe that Kamala lost bc she’s a Black woman. The campaign made some grievous errors, but a white male candidate would have survived. I think about that about once every hour these days. All of this hell visited on us, it’s bc of that original sin.

This was the order of events: 1. Paramount acceded to Trump’s extortion by paying a bribe. 2. Stephen Colbert calls his employer out for doing that. 3. Paramount fires Stephen Colbert for being honest about Trump. 4. Proving Trump’s bribe worked.

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

On Juneteenth, we're honoring the legacy of Black resistance by - Defending a Louisiana map in court that fairly represents Black voters - Protecting diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility programs from the Trump administration - Fighting book bans that censor Black stories And more.

58 years ago today, the Supreme Court ruled on the side of our clients Mildred and Richard Loving, legalizing interracial marriages nationwide. This Loving Day, we honor the generations of families who were torn apart by anti-miscegenation laws and celebrate the couple that changed history.

If you're a Marine or other service member being mobilized to Los Angeles and you'd like to apply for conscientious objector status, call the GI Rights Hotline to get some guidance on your options: 1-877-447-4487

Holy shit guys. Have you looked up the cost to store eggs for reproductive freedom? Per month about $150. This is the infrastructure we need to build for our medical infrastructure. Congratulations, I found something to build in America, Trump.

The fascists are playing the opposition and the media aiding them. Masked ICE agents, LAPD in riot gear, the FBI, and the U.S. Marshals Service all beating down, bashing, and gassing people in Los Angeles. These aren't deportation raids. It's the outright flex of fascist power on US citizens.

So the CA State National Guard is being nationalized?

Governor Gavin Newsom@governor.ca.gov

The federal government is moving to take over the California National Guard and deploy 2,000 soldiers. That move is purposefully inflammatory and will only escalate tensions.

Elon Musk sends this out just as Karoline Leavitt is holding her press briefing and pushing back on the CBO's analysis that the "Big, Beautiful Bill" will add trillions to the deficit and national debt.

This is absolutely terrible news. With the shifting regulatory climate (i.e., antivax ratfuckery), Moderna has withdrawn their application for their eagerly anticipated COVID-flu combo vaccine. This vaccine offered better protection than getting each shot separately. h/t @merz.bsky.social

5 things Trump did this week: 1. Dined with a Proud Boys leader 2. Said he “doesn’t know” about upholding the Constitution 3. Announced he will reopen Alcatraz 4. Appointed Fox News host Jeanine Pirro as an interim U.S. Attorney 5. Kept the Epstein files safe another week
