This judge has been involved in a lot of the cases in Atlanta involving Trump shenanigans, and is a really good guy, very even-handed. He also handled the adoption case for my granddaughter, who recently became a member of our family.

Stories of Republicans expressing "concern" about ICE after the murder of Alex Pretti are already out of date. Sending Tom Homan (srsly) to Minnesota is being regarded as a statesmanlike olive branch. If GOP lawmakers want to actually show concern they have to condition the funding. From me:

I've tinkered with this question a bit too, and I think the House would be on reasonably strong grounds that both Miller and Bovino are impeachable as within the expansive scope of "all civil officers of the United States." It's not limited to principal officers or even Senate-confirmeds.

l know there's no method to the madness, but they could have just let Powell ride it out until his term expires in May, appoint some non-insane dove who would have sailed through the Senate, and got the policy outcome that's ostensibly the goal.
