#LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday MUSK was good, didn't really learn much as an avowed Musk hater but it crystallized a few things for me. Deathsport was an MST3K watch, the new RiffTrax experiment. It was good, but not as good as #1 - especially since I saw that in theaters.

Carrie was quite good. An interesting reflection on how social media distorts reality, and the perverse incentives behind people engaging in social media. The stance of the show seems to be that maybe your bullies are the way they are for some reason, but they should still be psychically crushed

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! What's YOUR #LastFourWatched? Primetime was pretty perfect. An examination of the perverse incentives behind the TV show and Chris's confusing personal life. Street Fighter was fine. I wish it was 2 hours of the Ryu - Sagat fight, animated by Titmouse. Great animation!

They saw Walz roll over and take it and the polling in Minnesota being closer than it is in Texas and at their core they’re the biggest cowards in the world. Absolutely zero of the leadership, vision or backbone necessary to take on this crisis.

And yet that is exactly what has happened. We're well past what should or shouldn't happen and on to CONSEQUENCES. What will be done to the criminals in charge of our country if you and yours win in November?

The Architect said the first Matrix was perfectly matched to human desires and humanity rejected it. I wonder if these guys would actually enjoy what they built at all.

Three excellent Japanese monster movies, and also "Ireland's first ever martial arts film", featuring Mikey from Boyzone as the villain. It would probably be an amazing film for a drunk movie night with friends.

Slow week, Sisu was on last Friday's. I liked Digger, went in blind and really enjoyed it. Bit heavy handed but it feels appropriate for the moment. Paw Patrol was fine, held the nephews' interest. The pups made a lot of problems for themselves, just stop the car and get the people off the line!

Genuinely concerned about what's happening to the space-time continuum in this toilet.

#LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday I decided to watch good movies this week it looks like! Barely missing the weekly cutoff was Forgotten Island at 5 stars. Rope was fine, interesting technically but it failed to come together as a satisfying narrative film for me. Sisu rocked! Fuck em up, granpa!

Boebert is somehow an even messier bitch than Edi from Desperate Housewives. Amazing.

Caroleeena@caroleeena.bsky.social

Lauren Boebert and Clarisse Navarro had a knock-down-drag-out fight at the Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar in Aspen, CO, the bar co-owned by the guy who felt up Boebert at that Beetlejuice show. That guy was flirting with Boebert and Navarro did not like that! This led to a physical fight.

LMFAO -- Trump is holding an event at the White House right now but there's no audio because the press pool isn't there. The Newsmax host notes that this is an example of Trump's attacks on the press "backfiring just a little bit"

Happy #LetterboxdFriday #Letterboxd people! #LastFourWatched! A rather rough week in the theater for me, and a light week of movie watching generally. I found myself thinking "I HOPE this Hope movie ends soon!" and Resident Evil just didn't really click for me as a movie. MST3k ruled though.

Got my new gravel bike set up and rode it into work for the first time this morning. It's a lot of fun but it's definitely more work than the e-bike. No idea which I'll be riding more going forward, the gravel has become what I WANT to ride the most but it's still brand new.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! What's your #LastFourWatched? Pretty good week for me. Watched ET with the family, it scared my older nephew but the younger loved it. Live action Beauty and the Beast was actually pretty good and the kids loved it. MST3k was SO MUCH FUN in theaters. Glad I went!

Maybe Starfleet just shouldn't have general orders that are straight up evil? Like that's wild! Not even the US military tends to have straight up evil general orders, that's more off-the-books stuff.

Some googling makes me think this latest episode of Strange New Worlds is in conversation with an episode of The Original Series that I've seen but don't recall specifics of. Apparently in that episode there's some question as to whether or not it's a real thing, in SNW it's clearly real as rain.

"Oh yeah, the 24th GENERAL ORDER says we can burn your whole atmosphere off if you inconvenience us. We're the good guys though" rofl

Decent sales for this showing of the RiffTrax MST3k experiment. Hoping everyone shows up and it's a fun audience!

Pleasant sunrise along the bike trail this morning. This angle really appealed to me, so I stopped the bike to line up a really nice shot - something I'd never have done if I were driving a car instead. Love being more present because I'm on a bike instead of in a car.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! What's YOUR #LastFourWatched? All bangers from me this week too. Caught Buddy in an AMC Scream Unseen, it's great existentialist, absurdist horror. When I learned it's by the Too Many Cooks directory Iwas not at all surprised. Clue slaps, RIP Tim Curry <3
