It is the fundamental problem with Economics, it was the same in Greece back then and is the same rn. As long as we cherish money and wealth as the highest form of status in human society we will always end up in the same way, with a few rich ppl that determine your life based on their rules.

Economics isn’t necessarily a zero-sum game. But power is zero-sum. The more at the top, the less anywhere else. The fact is, wealth can’t be separated from power. Power begets wealth and wealth begets power. To understand the system, we need to understand the cycle.

We are fearing about what a rougue AI can cause. I am concerned about a society that is not yet ready for an invention like that without any plans or clear roadmaps and in the hands of tech bro's that have only the aquisition of wealth in mind, would be willing to do to keep the status quo.

And that is exactly why we see rn Trump and like-minded around the globe in power, to make sure that the game stays fixed and they will move heaven an earth to keep it that way. No lie too absurd, no business deal too shady no invasion for the last resources too expensive.

Are we all going to build robots and program them or will that also be a task for AI, moving ever closer to a perpetuum mobile that no longer needs any human interaction at any point or on any level? What do we need humans for then? And all that while we still have the need for money to stay alive.

So either we need complete free education to come up with some new ideas or we have to dispose of money altogether. But that will never be the case as long as any business model works in that way. And suddenly WW3, a nuclear war to get rid of millions becomes a very plausible proposition.

It's already on the horizon and easy to implement, 'insert coin' for every question you might have, favors again only the rich and powerful while at the same time more and more people will loose their jobs.

How long do you think will it take, now that Simens is doing busines with nVidia, that places like McDonalds will be fully automated by robots to save staff costs? China is already doing that in pharamcies and takeaways.

If it would be a humanistic society you would provide from the profits those companies make a basic income (UBI) to all households to cover at least the basics like rent, electricity and food. Studies in Finland showed that people are more willing to upskill if a UBI is provided.

But yet we have to find a feasable concept on how to generate money from AI, I have not seen a single compelling one. Leaving room for speculation that knowledge just like information will be soon enough only accessible through a paywall and how do you square that with ppl having no money?

I would even argue that if you are not born rich your chances to become rich are limited especially in a society where education is not for free for all. Yes there are examples of a few who made it to a decent life but we never focus on the 97% for whom this never worked out.

And 3% have all the power and wealth to build a society that only works for them and also controlls all the competition then of course there is little incentive to be part of this 'rigged' game. This is multiplied by the pressures of AI. Lots of people will lose their jobs what are they going to do?
