earthlings by sayaka murata is probably my favorite extreme horror book ever because it truly pushes the limits and does so in such a connected way that leaves you feeling truly unsettled at the end. nothing is done for shock value. it is all purposeful

coming to this book thread to say I hate most extreme horror authors. just because you include bodily functions/fluids does not make it extreme horror. you are unimaginative and cannot fathom true extremes
