A new report from the @commonwealthfund.org reveals that the share of U.S. adults without health insurance has increased to the highest proportion since the Affordable Care Act took effect in 2014, surging from a record low of 8.9% in 2024 to 11.2% in 2026.

In 2018, the Virginia General Assembly expanded Medicaid on a bipartisan basis. In 2025, Virginia Republicans in Congress voted for the largest Medicaid cuts in American history. I joined the @protectourcare.org “Sick of It” Bus Tour in Virginia Beach to show how these cuts endanger Virginians.
