Just booked some tickets with @trainsplit.com - whist I would have booked them with a TOC, the option of having an interactive seat map where I can choose my seats on just about any operator is just too good an opportunity to turn down.

If you need cheering up on this dull, wet Saturday morning, there are few things better than reading this thread

I'm being sued for $795m. By a fugitive fraudster. In Wyoming. Using an anti-Mafia law. 🧵

A bad night's sleep, but my day is brightened by seeing the Tory party leader getting solidly unpicked up BBC Breakfast :D

That was not the day I wished for when I woke up. Luckily, everything that needed to be fixed was routine, but...

Great - security issue with Wordpress and TeamUpdraft plugins, just what I needed on a Monday(!) :D

Customer states "We're getting connection timeouts on this service, can you help?" Servers are up. ACL is correct. No changes made in the last x months. So of course, we eventually tracked it down to DNS.

not now, jellyfish the 'size of a bus'

Is anyone in contact with people who worked on a newsroom system called BASYS, later iNews? I'm looking to build a replica of a mid-90s installation with serial terminals for display

In light of these new allegations about illegal funding, it is my opinion that Nigel Farage should step down as MP for Clacton. He should then stand again in the by-election and let the people of Clacton decide if he’s guilty or not of breaking electoral law. 😉

At what point does a British by-election get awarded to the silver medalist, à la Ben Johnson and Carl Lewis? Asking for a friend of a friend, i.e. me. #Clacton

I wondered why the fire alarm was going off at an open air station in Yorkshire. BRB, allowing my heart rate to come down to double digits
