Great example of how books get to us. Currently reading Between Two Fires, set during the black death, and I woke up in the middle of the night with an ingrown hair in my arm pit, and for a split second after I noticed the discomfort in my dazed state, my first thought was, "Oh no! Buboes!"

Admittedly, I'm not religious, but one thing I don't get is when someone dies & they're pictured with angel wings. (Especially popular with the rise of AI.) People & angels are separate beings, right? One doesn't become the other, do they? I mean, I saw The Prophecy & that wasn't how it worked.
