This is a post from Michal Nowakowski, one of the joint CEOs of CDPR. Without Bioware, CDPR might not have created Witcher 1. Without Witcher 1, there is no Witcher 2 nor 3 nor Cyberpunk 2077. This is the level of Bioware's influence, and the size of today's loss to RPG gaming.

Very heavy news as our former studio, BioWare closes its doors today. It was a formative place for many. However, many former BioWare devs are scattered around the industry. Find them, support them. Like, follow, comment and help us prove there is still support for the types of games we make!

Doing some more iteration on the visuals, added tonemapping and self-shadowing to the clouds. It's great to see this running at 60fps inside the browser, even when propagating all ~30k orbital objects. #webgpu #space

Incredibly sad to hear Margaret Hamilton has passed away. I wish I had had the chance to meet her, but she was a hugely inspiring figure throughout my life.

Margaret Hamilton has died. Absolute legend, it was my honour to meet her and have a conversation with her just a few years ago, super nice and still sharp. Ave atque vale Margaret. news.mit.edu/2026/margare...

I need to make something very, very clear. If we are in a Zoom interview and your pet interrupts, you never EVER have to apologize. Instead, please introduce them so I can greet them properly. Thank you for your time.

Astrophotographer Adam (AJ) Smadi caught this image a few hours ago from Washington state. A thin crescent Moon, sunlight illuminating the rugged lunar surface. And 2,400 times farther away—and on the other side of the Sun—mighty Jupiter, and its moons Io (left) and Ganymede (right).

Variable names are: irez, d2201, d2211, d3210, d3222, d4410, d4422, d5220, d5232, d5421, d5433, dedt, didt, dmdt, dnodt, domdt, del1, del2, del3, e3, ee2, se2, se3, sgh2, sgh3, sgh4, sh2, sh3, si2, si3, sl2, sl3, sl4, xgh2, xgh3, xgh4, xh2, xh3, xi2, xi3, xl2, xl3, xl4, gsto, xfact... Send help.

Still lots to do, but got ~27k out of ~30k orbital objects propagating in real-time inside the browser. Praise #webgpu and compute shaders.

Some more photos. I read that they are restoring a LUN for a museum. Ecranoplan are basically ground effect vehicles, a cross between a plane and a hovercraft.

Going to replace the keplerian propagation with proper SGP4 - looks like a good candidate to go into a compute shader, as each satellite is an independent calculation.

Still open for work! I’m going through some challenging life circumstances at the moment and, honestly, I’m in a place where I need to bring in a more substantial income. I’m very much ready to roll up my sleeves, hit me up.

Alright folks, I now have room for consultations and part time team member roles! If you think I could contribute to your project, let’s chat!

Finally, it is all coming together. Simulating >30K objects in #space from real data, using #webgpu in a custom engine. Using Space-Track and Celestrak as data sources.

Ok ladies, and men in the know about these things... is there a name for the style shown in the images below (sides tied back)? Are there different terms used depending on whether the side bits are straight, plaited, twisted?

This is a cat checkpoint; relinquish your most recent cat picture. He's still a little uncomfortable: anything less than 3 pillows is barely acceptable as a sleeping spot.

Another friendly reminder to devs to include an option to invert the vertical axis in first person and third person games. Too many games out there missing this option, and if you're lucky, one in every hundred might respond to the request to add it. If only there was a reliable workaround :\
