For the last year I've been working on a videogame about deep time and planetary history, which has taken me away from ttrpg design. It doesn't have a name yet. The game started as a personal project and has grown into something I'm going to try to release. Here is one of many characters. 🌊

Can't get over what a clever collision of ideas this is. Triangle Agency + FIST is already a tantalising combo, but throw in a Greek god benefactor/living metaphor enabling roguelike structure via the apparatus of casino games? Not sure how broccoli monsters fit in yet, but I trust it will be v cool

Posing as a Columbo type photographer at a gala in Blades 68 and feeling alive as hell. I got one stress left to burn and a psychic rat. I can punch anyone

I had a ton of fun making these graphics; clocks, the ticking timebomb, the animated cigarette smoke, and an interactive map on the Score-matic 6800 that can be dialled into any district in the city. As always, @evilanemone.bsky.social did an incredible job bringing it all together!

Prefer non-smoking? Ashtray and smoke can be safely deleted (although 3 out of 4 physickers agree that smoking is an important part of a healthy 60s lifestyle).

We're joined this week by the brilliant @olddog.games, who chats about how he got into designing for TTRPGs, and tells us all about the just released (and widely anticipated) supplement for Blades in the Dark, Blades'68! Watch: youtu.be/V3GGsQOa63A Listen: linktr.ee/narrativedam...

I go all over the place with hulls, but some images I have variously used in games:

Blades 68 question- favorite sources for images of Hull characters? or fav fictional androids that fit a swinging 60s retro futuristic theme?

But really you can't go wrong taking some Star Wars droid concept art and putting the head on someone wearing 1960s clothing.

This is actually much earlier in the book, BUT: The Prometheus Box, by none other than Stras Acimovic. A cold open train heist, can't beat it.

It's not DONE done, just yet, but all the Blades '68 stretch goals are now in layout. You can get a preview of every contribution in this thread:

The collection of stretch goal material for Blades '68 grew so large that it has exploded from the Palace Dossier into THE BLUE FILES. It's almost 60 pieces, from an amazing array of contributors.
