Hello! As we’re seeing a big influx of new folk on here thought I’d reintroduce myself. Studied English Lit and creative writing at MMU; specialising in screenwriting and playwriting. Have hosted live tweets of hit BBC dramas with screenwriters/exec prods. Write TV dramas + stage plays. #ScriptSky

Love how Obama has got under Trump’s skin by merely comparing him to Saddam Hussein opening a Cheesecake Factory. Good luck being served there. 😉

I created this photo using recent research so it relaxes your brain when you pause to look at the details. As I'm sometimes too unwell to post here (not good mental health due to PMDD & recovering from a breakdownA) it would help so much if you could maybe RT my photo. Many thanks 🌿

A thread about a great cat, and the post-retirement creative evolution of a great artist, in 20 images...

I think you’ll find BlueSky has five kind of users rather than four. 😉 #TheBreakfastClub

I was having conversations with journalists just a few months ago about whether democracy was doomed. Look at this year: Orban defeated. Vukic defeated. Bolsonaro Jr defeated. Trump heading to likely defeat in midterms. That’s the beauty of democracy. Voters can respond. Don’t count it out yet.

Plan to treat my fiancé by taking him to see the ‘Ghosts’ movie in a couple of weeks time. He adored that sitcom. From what I’m hearing so far I don’t think he’ll be disappointed. Let’s see. Given the dramas we’ve endured over the past two years think he needs this.

And yet Norway boasts one of the strongest, wealthiest and stable economies on the planet. Plus, and he won’t like this, they’ve much further on renewables than most western countries. Must be doing something right.

I’ve been wondering what my maiden Bluesky post should be, and I've gone for this: a classic sketch from Ireland’s greatest-ever export, Dave Allen. Buenas tardes.

Hello! It doesn’t cost anything to repost but it helps me spread the word about my small business. My online shop is full of bold & colourful prints, homewares and cards. I’m also available for freelance design work and art licensing. gailmyerscough.co.uk

I say, I say, I say! Here is a joke I’ve been trying to write for a decade, but I think it only works as a diagram — so, BEHOLD! The fog on the Tyne is all mime

Highly impressive news coming out of Serbia tonight. Follows on Viktor Orban being kicked out. Can we just defeat all autocrats now? Please. The world would be a much better place.

Beautiful notebooks and pens. Essential.

"A distinctively British approach to artificial intelligence"

Seriously considering setting up a Substack account to share some bits about my writing etc. Anyone have experience or thoughts about this kind of venture? Would appreciate any feedback.

Fingers crossed for Mystery Actor, I loved him in Generic Reboot!

@rufustsuperfly.bsky.social has kindly reminded us it’s Christopher Lloyd’s 88th birthday today it’s the perfect excuse for me to share this scene from ‘Taxi.’ Pure comedy genius. The timing, the pauses, the glances down. Awesome. “What does the yellow light mean?” Enjoy! youtu.be/piPz1prPrzs?...

The Beeb axing the wonderful R4 Extra to save themselves £827.39 per annum seems appropriately self-flagellating.

Please sign to help save our BBC Radio 4 Extra. 👇 #BBCRadio4Extra

Brits, please sign the petition to save BBC Radio 4 Extra. It costs tuppence ha'penny to run, is of national and cultural importance, and if the Beeb needs to save money, how about cutting down the endless layers of management? you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/sa...

The BBC Charter states that BBC is supposed to provide programmes that no one else does. They don't have to be the favourite of all as long as they're the favourite of some. You can get podcasts anywhere. We want our beautifully curated Radio4 Extra.

Bad news: the BBC is set to scrap Radio 4 Extra. 📻 Losing this treasure trove of classic comedy, archive drama, and timeless storytelling would be a huge blow for millions of us. Sign the petition to help save it 👇 you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/sa...

Promoting racism and plagiarism/theft. How quaint. 😡

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

I’ve written an open letter (found IN the link below) in my attempt to help #SaveSquareChapelArts (Halifax) & managed to get a group of well-known pals to back my cause. 🙌 I’d be enormously grateful if you could read the letter & repost. 🙏🏻 Many thanks x www.canncomms.co.uk/post/open-le...

Great news for nature! The Scottish Government has refused plans for a golf course on Coul Links that would have irreparably damaged this precious place.  Thank you to the tens of thousands of you who spoke up to save Coul Links. Your voices made a difference.

This Curlew appears absolutely delighted to see you. Well done, friend of Curlews.

Superficially it may feel #BlueLights has taken a complete right turn with tonight’s episode. But actually as you’ll see both later in this episode and the conclusion of S4 it’s vitally important to see how Sandra and Gerry’s relationship develops, why his ending threw up so many q’s and later a’s.

Already seen this episode of #BlueLights Watching it again because it’s so awesome. Beautifully ties us into how this wonderful drama began. Will also have a major impact on each of the characters and how this storyline concludes. Adored it! #Gerry 😍
