There is much to admire in Abdul El-Sayed's response to the GOP plant in his audience. But one of the most deft things he did was to point out (twice) that our Constitution protects our right to follow *no* religion, thereby casting Christian nationalist Tommy as the actual religious extremist.

There's no real point in arguing with his mouth noises, particularly not when preaching to the Bluesky choir, but this is *noteworthy* nonsense. If the revenue were real (it's not), then it would be revenue *of the United States government,* equally available to a Democratic Congress to spend.

Trump: "Because of tariffs, we are taking in hundreds of billions of dollars of profits. It's one of the reasons I can offer, if Republicans win the House and Senate, $5,000 to every adult. We can do it and the Democrats can't, because the Democrats don't have any income."

I am tired of people saying we can’t win in front of the Supreme Court. I’m annoyed by those who say my firm is too partisan to be effective. Today we won a huge redistricting fight before SCOTUS and a ballot access case before the Nebraska Supreme Court. The lesson: When we fight we win.

Wanna know something I think would be crazy? It would be crazy if XX-XY Athletics, the apparel firm stoking outrage against the WNBA, had a secret, Koch brothers-aligned, oil rich family fortune behind it. But that would be crazy, right??? www.foiaball.com/p/xx-xy-athl...

‼️ Republicans often claim that noncitizens vote in U.S. elections at a level that warrants showing proof of citizenship to vote. But these requirements do not just keep noncitizens from voting – they only disenfranchise eligible voters.

Notice DOJ doesn't talk about its efforts to obtain state voter files anymore. They are 0-20 in those cases and today is the beginning of the quiet period -- states can no longer do systematic removals of names from the voter rolls. TLDR: We won!🥳

NEW: Mayor Mamdani announces that he has looked at all options and has determined he does NOT have the legal authority to arrest Netanyahu under the ICC warrant if he comes to New York, but the feds do, and he encourages them to do so. He adds that Netanyahu is NOT WELCOME in New York City.

Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal.

There are some "leaders" in Democratic party who would prefer to keep their power than fight for transformative change. Those people need to be replaced--be they elected officials or heading Democratic organizations. We have the time between now and 2028 presidential election to do just that!

Lawyer for Kilmar Abrego Garcia: I don’t want it to be lost how courageous Kilmar has been and how he’s made some very hard decisions in the course of this litigation. He didn’t have to go down this path of fighting and exposing the administration for what they’re doing.

We’re less than 90 minutes from Justice Alito’s entirely arbitrary 5 p.m. deadline for his administrative stays in the mifepristone case. As I explained last week, Alito is the only justice who regularly imposes these time limits—and he only does it in cases in which he doesn’t like the applicants:

Many of you are asking how you can help me. My only ask is this: Spread the word about the threats to democracy and how we can fight back. Tell everyone to subscribe to Democracy Docket for free and share its content with everyone you know. Thanks. bit.ly/4qmEiFz

Instead of paying our dedicated TSA workers, Republicans would rather spend more money on ICE's campaign of terror & cruelty. I voted No. We must keep fighting to abolish ICE, end qualified immunity, and transform our immigration system to center the dignity & humanity of all.

Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change—all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.

Rep. Delia Ramirez to DHS officials: "I have as much respect for you as I do for the last white men who put on masks to terrorize communities of color. I have no respect for the inheritors of the Klanhood and the slave patrol. Those activities were criminal and so are yours."

I don’t give a shit about Brett Favre’s racist opinion regarding Bad Bunny, what I do care about is that he still isn’t in jail for committing welfare fraud after he stole $5M from the Mississippi Welfare Fund to build a sports facility for his daughter.

I hear from people who are surprised I'm still talking about ICE, they thought they'd withdrawn from MN. No, they have not. In some respects they've escalated. Some asked why MN is a target. Are there are there a lot more illegals or criminals here? No, it's not about that. It's about a grudge.
