After the game is before the game...I started a new little prototype. It's a shop simulation where you play as a crow, selling all the shiny stuff like branches, stones, bottle caps ✨ I started implementing an inventory system, picking up items and notifications. #gamedev #indiegames #cozy

Is there really a use for game specific Discord servers? I see it in every "How to market your game" tutorial but I use Discord mostly for voice chat with my friends. I see this for farming sims like Stardew Valley with a lot of content. But for small linear indie projects? #indiegames #gamedev

Got some great feedback from a play tester. They even found a demo bug 🙈 Thankfully it's already fixed in the full game. Night vision can be activated via RMB now and you will be able to scroll through cameras via mouse wheel. This is a great improvement for accessibility 💪 #FindThisPixelAnomaly

Thank god, I didn't have to create 84 Steam statistics by hand 😄 I copied cookie and payload value from browser to a little PHP script with cURL instead. Now achievements are all up and running 💪 #gamedev #godotsteam #godotengine #steam

I added 20 stats, count them up whenever the player fixes an anomaly & if all 20 stats have the value 1 - an achievement is unlocked. Yay! But then I added a stat to count the achievement progress ("You fixed 5 of 20"). And #GodotSteam just won't count this damn stat up 😭 #gamedev #godotengine

I really don't like the fact that the majority of #gamedev tutorials is in video form nowadays :( I love working on my game while sitting on the couch with my wife, watching a movie, YouTube or whatever. I don't have time to skip through endless videos and find the part I need 😭 #godotengine

Could somebody explain how to create Steam achievements that count up? Like you have to find all 20 anomalies before the achievement is unlocked, but you can check how many you already got. Do I have to combine achievements with statistics here? Is this possible at all? #gamedev #Godot #Steam

Looks like after I upgraded my NAS to 1TB SSD last year, I forgot to allocate the new space. That's why my docker containers ran into "Too few space disk" although I have 800GB free space 🤦

I've got my new favourite way for your computer to get hacked. The web page adds command to your clipboard (Copy) and then tries to get you to run the command on your computer under the guise of Human Verification.
