It is written: "You can't con people, at least not for long. You can create excitement, you can do wonderful promotion and get all kinds of press, and you can throw in a little hyperbole. But if you don't deliver the goods, people will eventually catch on. - Donald Trump, Art of the Deal

May I add: if you're a lawmaker in the minority, and you tell me you've "introduced a bill to <insert what people are outraged about>" as an answer, you're gaslighting your constituents. It's NOT getting a vote. Stop it.

Is any senator, member of Congress, or really anyone in a position of any actual power or authority, going to step up and express outrage with an actual plan to DO SOMETHING? These dipshit social media posts being like “Things are bad and illegal! 🥴” are about to make my head explode

This is an excellent idea!

In actuality, it belonged to NO musical provocateur Davis Rogan and was one of his campaign promises when he briefly sought elective office: Name the New Orleans franchise the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and refuse to relinquish until the Utah team gives back Jazz.

I'm listening to Washington Journal this morning about the midair crash, and I'm wondering if people realize right-wing think tanks are responsible for elevating "DEI" as the new boogeyman? Remember the "CRT" boogeyman during the last election cycle?

I’m guessing they won’t find that Trump’s reckless and impulsive air safety cuts were directly responsible, but it is a reminder that not everything is a game, a show for Fox News approval.

I know this won't be brought up, but I'd love to hear Bobby Jr. try to defend this super-crazy stuff during the pandemic.

Kevin@narctranslator.bsky.social

I wonder how many people remember or even know RFK Jr. was highly involved in the People's Convoy and America's Grand Jury?

Today’s show was my last at CNN. My closing message: It’s never a good time to bow down to a tyrant… don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to fear. Hold on to the truth… and hope.

Only one problem: The Department of Government Efficiency doesn't exist.

Punchbowl News@punchbowlnews.bsky.social

President Donald Trump put the Department of Government Efficiency in charge of modernizing “technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity” in a first-day executive order. punchbowl.news/article/tech...

Weird. Chuck Grassley is speaking on the Senate floor right now and hasn't mentioned the purge.

Mark Joseph Stern@mjsdc.bsky.social

One way to look at this: A bunch of Republican senators made it VERY clear that they didn’t want Trump to purge Inspectors General. Chuck Grassley urged him not to. By firing them anyway, Trump is testing whether he’ll face ANY real pushback from Senate GOP. www.ernst.senate.gov/news/press-r...

This is silly. He won't have to "watch him like a hawk" that's what the inspector General is.....<puts finger in ear>.....wait.....what?

Jen Bendery@jbendery.bsky.social

Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.), the top Dem on the armed services committee, strongly opposed Hegseth's confirmation but says he'll respect the outcome of his confirmation. "Still, I am going to watch him like a hawk."

Even if you think a Nazi salute is a hilarious 4chan troll move, you are still, at minimum, Nazi curious. But if you also spent 44 billion dollars to let the Nazi hate flow, brother, you’re not fooling anybody but those paid to be fooled.

The story behind RFK Jr. in Samoa's measles crisis has never been reported. He wasn't there to spread misinformation about vaccines (though he did). He wanted to study a "natural experiment" of unvaccinated kids. “I can’t imagine anything less ethical or more cruel.” www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...

nbcnews.comExperts saw Samoa's plunging vaccination rates as a crisis. RFK Jr. saw an opportunity.New details show how Robert F. Kennedy Jr., then chair of an anti-vaccine group and now Trump’s pick for health secretary, sought to exploit a deadly vaccine accident.

A small glimmer of hope for humanity.

‘We broke the law’: A woman who pleaded guilty in the Jan. 6 attack rejects Trump’s pardon. “Accepting the pardon would be an insult to the Capitol Police officers, to the rule of law, to our nation,” said Pamela Hemphill, a 71-year-old, who was sentenced. READ MORE: www.msnbc.com/top-stories/...

As a former Navy man I've made my fair share of jokes about the Coast Guard (cough...Knee-High Navy, cough...Puddle-Jumpers) but the acting Commandant calling the Gulf of Mexico the "Gulf of America" to appease the idiot in the white house takes the prize.
