This is part of the reason I'm not on socials anymore. I'm tired of seeing the bad shit and it seems that curating it away doesn't work anymore.

Brazilians recommending not to amplify right-wing talking points by dunking and quoting, as a winning strategy Next day, my tl is full of people dunking on rfk jr I literally would not have seen the bigotry if it wasn't for y'all repeating it. That's exactly what the Brazilians were on about!

It's that special time of year when they give the danger-kitties pumpkins to play with at The Wildcat Sanctuary in Sandstone, Minnesota. A much-needed timeline cleanse. πŸ―πŸŽƒ (πŸ“·: wildcatsanctuary.org)

The thing with radical organizing is that there aren’t really any shortcuts. There’s just…the work. It’s long and slow and often boring. But sometimes it’s beautiful.

Part of my literal job is to fly out to physical game studios to rescue and recover historical materials that might be endangered and put them in a permanent archive. @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social is a 501(c)3 publicly funded to do that, my DMs are open, and I'm free for the next couple weeks...

I think that when artists wish for old DA, it's actually wishing for things to go back to before socials. Paid graphic design gig: I'm looking for a designer who has page-setting experience, who can help me format my new crowdfunding guidebook. If you're interested, please leave a comment below with samples, portfolio links, and contact details. Experienced designers only. Bots will be ignored.

If you're going through the trouble to make it not look like AI because you know people don't like it, JUST MAKE A POSTER. Use terrible word art. Draw stick figures. Take a sharpie marker to some poster board and get to tagging. Do literally ANYTHING ELSE and it will look SO MUCH BETTER.

Reminder that there has never been a time when cozy, fluffy, noncontroversial trans stories outnumbered the edgy, grim, gritty ones. It factually did not happen. Stop claiming it did. I actually have data on this from when I edited trans year's bests, and so do other people.

I've always thought of laying off workers while bragging about profits was a way to gaslight consumers and employees but honestly these companies don't think about employees and consumers as more than numbers. They're bragging to one another about these things and don't care that we can see.

do think there's a danger of looking at extremely cool shit like a car driving upside down then doing a kickflip before landing, and convincing yourself it's actually lame because the guy funding it is a white supremacist

So when are we going to understand that the plan isn't just to strip her of citizenship. They are going to try and cause physical harm to this woman. People should be more concerned and should have been more concerned this entire time.

One metal magazine of the 90s actually coined the phrase "Hetfield Effect" to describe the tendency of rockers to switch from "anti-war / anti-establishment" to "patriotic / conservative" pretty much the second they passed draft age

Someday, these guys will realize how much of a pussy these types of statements make them look
