Technology did change everything! Back in My Day, computers were slow and sometimes monochrome. Sound was little bleeps and bloops. Connections were nonexistent Now the whole world is connected in full color and stereo. The world has been getting brighter for decades. bsky.app/profile/scot...

Society used to be adamantly horrible to anything "other". Being "weird" used to be punished by society. Nureodivergence was socially unacceptable. This changed, and for the better. People are so much better with difference now it warms my 🩵. bsky.app/profile/mdru...

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

There's something deeply satisfying about calling out foolishness on here, getting called a chatbot, proving your humanity, and then getting blocked by fools. 🤷 haters hate nothing more than a call out.

🤔 I don't think this advertiser is being honest about the competition.... or understands how drivers work. 🤣 3.5mm audio cables have literally _never_ needed a driver.

One the most fun little parts about making musical instruments in PowerShell is the references in comments: ~~~PowerShell # Take each of our angles and Add it Up # Get the sine of the times and multiply by the weight. ~~~ 🤷 Where else can I stick Violent Femmes next to Harry Styles?

Bright side: Dove into stereo today and make an audio pan filter in #PowerShell 🎉 Bad side: I clearly can hear better out of my left ear. 😔 I should have known building wave tooling would test my hearing.

Tron Ares' "soundtrack quality :: movie quality ratio" is the greatest since Tron Legacy. The movies keep getting worse, but the soundtracks keep getting better.

I'm not sure anything is more frustrating than software people having hardware issues. 😕 My beast box had been intermittently freezing and now is having cpu fan errors and overheating. Spent the day taking it apart and putting it back together again. Still overheating. And so am I 😡

It's the little things Like being able to make #Music with #PowerShell in a #GitHubAction, at 5x realtime. GitHub workflow runners are quicker than you'd think. And Making Music in a GitHub Workflow is beautifully batty.

Figured out how to make #music with #PowerShell Just make .wav files 😎 Been a fun few days. Made a synth over a weekend. Got sine/saw/triangle/square waves working. Didn't expect them to be so beautiful. 🩵 Code in alt (12 lines!) BTW, also supports #MIDI & DECPS 🤷😏 #RetroGaming #Tetris

Sometimes I try to test my #Ollama harness by asking a quick question to a tiny model, like TinyLlama. Sometimes, it spends [TimeSpan]"00:06:45.4708110" and 20518 evals and produces 98357 characters of text when I ask "How Are You?"🤷🤣

Somebody just vibe coded a PowerShell / C# basic Wolfenstein. They posted. I saw. Looked cool. Cloned the repo. Spotted a couple of bugs. Gave some feedback. Dude deletes the repo and the thread 🤷 Good thing I've already cloned it. And it's MIT license 😏 What is wrong with people?

Hey #PowerShell people, want to build a provider explorer? Tomorrow night @ 6:00 PM Pacific Time the Pacific PowerShell User Group will be building a Provider Explorer in PowerShell: www.meetup.com/pacific-powe... We'll start from scratch and make a cross-platform web app to explore providers.

Handy #PowerShell one-liner of the day: Alphabetize whatever is on the clipboard: ~~~PowerShell @(@(Get-Clipboard) -split '(?>\r\n|\n)' | Sort-Object) -join [Environment]::NewLine | Set-Clipboard ~~~

As a software developer, I especially loathe dealing with hardware issues. Box keeps freezing. No logs. No help. No clue. 🤷at least I know it's not thermals (cause those show in logs)

🤔 @jtp.bsky.social it just occurred to me that the benefit of some "on the box" llm on Linux could actually be pretty huge. So much knowledge is buried in Man pages, and having a little local open model trained on it would probably help adoption. 🤷 Now I've said it. How do you think?
