As a rule, I don’t like to buy new re-releases of old records. This one changed my mind, but only bc it’s not technically a re-release, since this record was never released back when it was recorded. I’m very excited to give this a listen.

My favorite thing about this cover is that the inclusion of Black Billed Magpies (severely underrated bird, IMO) places Blüdhaven somewhere in the western half of the US or Canada. Given that Blüdhaven has access to the ocean & it's the only place the magpie's range hits the coast , it's in Alaska.

Financial art advice: There are sadly many like new CHEAP tablet monitors on ebay that people have bought with the intent to use like exercise bikes and then used once or not at all. If you want or need one, consider looking for an XP pen. The're very good, and you can find one for $150ish easily.

I just turned in a shirt design for a Bird Fest and they ran my Borbs past a bonafide expert in the birds I drew (literally wrote the book on these birds) and he said I got them all right. I was trying to match species and plumage for the area and time of year and they said I nailed it.
