A protester yelled "Shove that ballroom up your fat ass" to Trump at his rally in Mississippi on Monday night. This clip contains two versions of the moment. The first is how it aired on a livestream. In the second I increased the audio for that moment.

It’s far too easy to get inured to these comments and come up with counter examples from algebra to the Epic of Gilgamesh (especially these days) so let’s just call it what it is: gutter racism.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

Seems like we might have learned the lesson already regarding random stops of random people by untrained thugs and put in place some requirements for warrants and training and accountability? But what do I know about history of policing that Kavanaugh somehow didn’t?!? /s

What the hell? Per WSJ, Ukrainian drones have been forced to fly more slowly because of new limits on Starshield, the military version of Starlink, put in place at Elon Musk‘s personal direction. Zelensky told Rubio the speed needs to be restored. How in the world are we letting Musk call the shots?

THIS IS MADNESS!!! This is a clear example of an oligarchy attempting to exert control... what we do now in response could be the inflection point of our survival or our demise. An unelected madman calling the shots like this cannot be tolerated. How does he even have the access to the system??

This isn't a case of abusing some loophole or misusing discretionary authority. The law is unambiguous and he's breaking it, simple as that. If Congress isn't going to do anything about breaking the law that already exists, passing another law to make it double-illegal accomplishes nothing.

It's already illegal. Congress banned it near-unanimously in 2022. That law allows the ban to be lifted only if Russia withdraws from Ukraine. He's simply breaking the law that's already on the books.
