I used to be a Mesolithic archaeologist. In 2020 Covid19 hit me, crashed me. My pleas for help continue. Year 5 chronic #LongCovid, now bed-bound, unable to walk, no income or support, bankruptcy close, house repossession on horizon. Please help and share if you can 🆘 microburin.com/2024/09/06/l...

This is what it's like folks, over 6yrs in now. The medical glazed looks. My hospital visit last month - nobody wearing a face mask, no air filters, Covid19 is still rampant, everybody in denial? And then you add the "but you sound OK, you look fine". #LongCOVID

Hancock, amongst others, should be serving jail time. Serial liar. He killed people.

2020: Matt Hancock, "We've tried to throw a protective ring around our care homes" 2026: Baroness Hallett, "The claim that a so called protective ring has be thrown around care homes right from the start was unfounded. The adult social care sector appeared to be something of an after thought"

Some new additions to @pottedhistory.bsky.social 's range of Roman replicas. I love them.

So the BBC changed, or clarified, their headline. Good. They miss that he had numerous extramarital affairs. "Jeffrey Archer: successful novelist, disgraced <^Tory> politician and convicted liar".

Add in please #LongCOVID. It's equally as horrifying. From neglect to proposed therapies that do severe harm. There's no systematic medical-side training, simply a lottery, and no meds as yet, simpy ongoing research. Meanwhile, or lives switched off, disabled, and politically ignored.

“I was just horrified… The most heartbreaking stories… Treatment is absolutely appalling for patients.” @georgemonbiot.bsky.social speaking to @davetuller1.bsky.social about the hundreds of messages he received from people around the world with #MECFS about their experiences of treatment.

#ThrowbackThursday #Archaeology to 2014 and the Street House Before The Saxons temp exhibition at Kirkleatham Museum with mum, and me on a video. It was the month my ex walked away after 15yrs (to make more money in Dubai), so a rough time. The Saxon Princess exhibition is permanent.

Absolutely shameful, and nobody charged after 9 years. 72 dead.

Somebody needs to have a very careful self-awareness think about themselves and decision-making. Millions of us are still disabled, barely functioning, six years later, zero help or support. Many more think SARS-CoV-2 Covid19 is all behind us. *The pandemic is NOT over*. I feel insulted. #LongCOVID

Lunchtime today St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, abdom ultrasound. 6yrs+ #LongCOVID. Amongst many ongoing symptoms, GI (gastrics) continue to worsen (blood results spooked GP). U/S is fine. Trauma is getting there & back. OBSERVATION: *Nobody* medics, staff nor public wearing a mask, except me! 😷

1 min to go for a last #FindsFriday #Archaeology call. Bank hols digging at Windmill House, Thornborough Arch Group, N Yorks. A bit of flint (& features). I think edge of a Meso/Early Neo core, maybe to correct the knapping angles. thornboroughag.org (Also on Fb).

Old enough to remember Gillam's work and his Roman pottery articles in Arch Aeliana, especially for Hadrian's Wall. Do we have a new epithet for C4th "Huntcliff ware". E.g. "like blackened hobnobs", or Crambeck as "malted milk biscuits" :-)

"Like goose-flesh petrified". Thus John Pearson Gillam (Chezvegas lad and Roman pot brain) described Derbyshire Ware in 1939 A coarse gritty fabric with pimples, made in central Derbys from the 2nd C on - focus around Hazelwood and Holbrook but we recently found a kiln near Bolsover #FindsFriday

Exact day when the young lady at local Tesco, looking feverish unwell, coughed straight in my face. No hand, elbow, distancing. When we were told "wash yer hands". A super-spreader. 6 years later? Housebound, disabled, my life is dead. No treatments or cure, no help or support. Millions of us.

Entirely enthralling.
