I picked up the #gamedevelopment of Arcalor again. I asked Claude if he could playtest it over night. It responded with 'Hell yes' lol. Curious what will have happened in the world when I wake up!

Status update: One is blackmailing another. 2 alliances have been formed and have formed a confederation. World chat is lively and so are PB's. One bot is farming like crazy.

I asked ChatGPT what game genres would be cool to mix with Ironman mode / solo self found type servers where trading is not allowed and permadeath is a thing. It suggested Sports Management games. I'm officially done with ChatGPT. #gamedesign

@chrisunits.bsky.social Kinda build a browser plugin for it yesterday, what do you think? Features: -all feeds and subs of your personal Reddit account -1 to 8 grids -autoplay galleries -sound on, off or on hover -fullscreen mode

Michiel Berk@michielberk.com

Would you use a website that allows you to browse Reddit as a grid like this?

latency of about 1.5 years

hydromo.bsky.social@hydromo.bsky.social

For 3–8 pages per call, benchmark tables, multi-column reading order, and scanned pages—not just latency. If you don’t need an API and privacy matters, Markdown Ready is a local macOS PDF→Markdown option: hydromo.dev

Looking for a simple service that embeds into a static website with a snippet; • Capture emails with confirmation/double opt-in • Automatically add signups to an email list • Have a dashboard where I can manage/view lists • Let me toggle email notifications for new signups on/off Recommendations?

Dario's proposed Embedded Evaluators basically cements the big labs at the top, because no small companies or open source initiatives within LLM-dev will be able to comply with 'regulation'. This is bad.

Wessel van Rensburg@wildebees.bsky.social

Hugging Face wants a seat at the alignment table. Clem Delangue has launched an Open Alignment Initiative — led by co-founder Thomas Wolf — and is asking to join the embedded evaluators programme Amodei committed to.

Yesterday 'slowing down ai' came up during a casual talk with non-techies. Its kinda crazy to realise Sam and Dario tooting ai development should be slowed down is basically incognito PR that reaches the masses. But Jason is on to something.

Dare Obasanjo@carnage4life.bsky.social

If the proposed slow down in AI development by frontier labs ends up restricting access to open weight models instead of focusing on the guardrails and penalties for not keeping track of your swarm of AI agents then we’ll know this was all about their IPOs.

You want to know why your thing sucks now? There's a 50/50 chance it is secretly a web browser and site for no good reason instead of a real computer program. I don't know why we've turned many things that should not be web dev into web dev, but here we are.

I just took a break from work and decided to automate updates for the Valheim server in my livingroom. And automated daily, weekly and monthly backups. I could have played the damn game instead, but oh well. I've ascended to new nerd heights.

I'm back and I'm cooking. Migrating all my websites to a dedicated website-server in the process - moving the needle down from 10 bucks per website to 5,50 for 4 websites. More on the project soon.

I've been quite dogmatic about using TDD when vibe coding. It has produced good results for me. But for a roster app I am making for my wife with CP-SAT it's just test-bloat running my velocity into the ground.

So funny when you start digging around open source repo's of the greatest companies currently hockey-sticking and you find prompts like this "no word salad"

Update: I added sunglasses. Total weight comes in at 7.4 kg. This includes all clothing I will be wearing but excludes consumables and toiletries.

Ok hear me out. I am occasionally running Openclaw on a phone. I also have chromecast. Its serving me 5 ads in a row taking 75 seconds. That sucks. So I was thinking... home NAS/server meets multimedia always on-pc. Thoughts? What should I be looking for? Enough gpu for HD + some ram/cpu? Power?

If you cant explain in one sentence why your ai product solves the customers pain better than a Claude Code skill with bash or a custom Openclaw setup, why are you even building?

Institutional money made a bet that the productivity gains we're seeing in software engineering can be replicated across the board with white collar work. Which I believe to be wrong.

I have repeatedly said even in the best use cases the enterprise ROI isn't there for current American models, except for few elite engineers world wide. Chinese models are putting that to the test: an order of magnitude, perhaps two, cheaper tokens. But no moat. Another domino falls...

A half time should last 15 minutes. This shit should be enough to ban America for 20 years. Go back to your “football” with egg shaped balls that you’re supposed to throw to each other like some fancy outdoor version of korfbal

I now put some guardrails and extensions in Pi and I think I'm never going back. Made the whole thing look pretty with Zellij too. Oh and if you're a cli-guy and dont use Zoxide, you're missing out.

Only posts feed down. Rip I guess.

Hi! SkyFeed is struggling and I need to find a solution. If you don't know SkyFeed, it's a service I built 2 years ago, enabling anyone to build and publish feeds using a visual block-based editor. SkyFeed is still hosting the most feeds on Bluesky, but that comes at a cost [1/X]
