Hard to think of anything less abstract and more materially consequential than being pregnant

Marty Lederman@martylederman.bsky.social

Samuel Alito: We won't overturn Obergefell because it's engendered reliance interests. Jan Crawford: Well, many people had organized their lives around Roe v. Wade. Alito: No, they didn't. Women merely had an "abstract" interest in "ideas about the kind of society that they were going to live in."

I would like to see more men talking about how to and peer pressuring each other into calling out misogyny and rape culture. Going against social norms is hard, and it helps to share tips and support.

moulton is a good example of someone who fucked up his career because he misread 2024. many such cases.

John Cluverius@johncluverius.bsky.social

In 2024, Moulton said he didn't want his daughters, then 3 and 6, to be "run over on the playing by a formerly male athlete." the in-town soccer league they would have been eligible to play in WAS COED AT THE TIME. Oh, and he gave an absolute loser non-apology about it.

That’s good progress for court expansion right there

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Rep. James Clyburn says he supports expanding the Supreme Court: "13 is a pretty good number. A baker's dozen would be a good number to have on the Court."

If Ossoff had said "Natalie Harp" not many people would've noticed. Some politics name. Hear those all the time. Who cares. But saying just "Natalie" makes it sound like gossip you should hurry to decode so you can explain it to your friends. My senator is using the power of lore dumping

He’s doing it again

On Sunday, parents across the five boroughs got a night to themselves while NY's Cutest enjoyed free activities with NYC Parks staff at select recreation centers. Free & accessible child care doesn’t just make our city more affordable — it gives parents time to rest, recharge, or enjoy a night out.

Ahhhhh another day of parenting an infant when around noon I think “I will have 1-2 beers and relax tonight” that is sure to end with me confused why I ever thought I’d be up for that

Love how this dude discovered the cheat codes of "what if I listened to constituents" and "what if I modeled good behavior" and "maybe I behave like a normal person should." These are apparently dark secrets that have been hidden from other politicians.

I'm listening, I'm learning. Safety first, NYC.

If centrists hate DSA so much they are welcome to run vigorous campaigns, present compelling arguments for why their candidates are better, and win on Election Day.

How fucking pathetic and weak is this guy?

Jeffries stop short of committing to holding a vote to abolish ICE is he's House Speaker next January, but says he's "committed to dramatically reforming ICE ... the masks should come off, body cameras should come on, judicial warrants should be required."

Start asking Democrats what they'll do when Trump blanket pardons members of his administration on the last day of his term. The correct answer is that they'll ignore and refuse to recognize pardons granted for unindicted crimes.

If JB wants to be president he needs to start the propaganda war about how a billionaire is stealing Chicago’s team right now cause I legit think the Bears jumping state lines would be an electoral liability
