I really dislike apps that force me to give a review. It'll keep popping up until a review is being made. Those kind of apps usually get a bad kind of review from me. Like common, leave me alone. If i want to do a review, I'll do it eventually.

There is one trick that I’ve learned during game development and game engine development. You don’t need to understand how to calculate complex mathematics. You only need to understand how it works and what it does. Not the result, the result is solved by the computer.

This made my life so much easier as I can just learn most mathematic formulas by understanding the inputs, outputs and what it does. Since I’m fairly slow in math, knowing how it works and letting the computer do the rest is like a 100x improvement for me.

I guess that’s why my teacher always wanted to know how I calculate through the path I take… I guess how mathematics is being thought is just too confusing (or badly explained?), oh well. Everyone will learn how to solve them eventually, just some take a different path.

If a programming language is not free and open source, why should anyone use it? It just locks you into paying an eternal fee that you really don't have to.

There we go, I've decided to leave behind my @Mempler account on Twitter, Bluesky will be my primary platform for public social interaction with the outside world from now on (besides of Discord)

I've wanted to use Matrix, but it's not fit for my use case, mainly screenshare is basically shit, even on a self-hosted server compared to discord.

Sure, sex is great, but do you remember the first time you recognised the need for an explicit lifetime annotation before the compiler told you? #rust #rustlang

I'm not that big of a fan of rewriting it in rust unless it makes sense. BUT, I'm 100% a fan if it involves network resources or filesystem or general user input data. Why? Because most security vulnerability is actually derived from memory bugs! Rust tends to prevent most common ones.

It does make sense to rewrite a proxy application or cli in rust. But it wouldn't make much sense to make the entire frontend in rust.

I didn't expect to do rust as my day to day job. I liked it, not loved it. But the more I learn about it, the better it gets :^)

Bluesky seems like Twitter, but when Twitter was in its prime time. It's really nice! no ads, no annoying algorithm. It's just an overall awesome experience.

I don't think people have low attention rate, but they're rather faster with their thought process. it's good and bad in some ways.

You are up to date.
