Here you go!! I created a zap that pulls new Fathom transcripts > Creates action items > Finds the meeting database it’s associated with in Notion > Adds the action items to the page w/ the meeting recording link. You will need a premium Zapier account. zapier.com/shared/d4776...

zapier.comFathom → OpenAI → Notion: Action ItemsAnytime a new transcript is created in Fathom, Zapier runs an input with OpenAI that creates action items from the transcript. It then looks for the meeting page with the exact Zoom link and adds the ...

A Muslim son of immigrants might become mayor of NYC in part because he cross endorsed and supported a Jewish candidate and Black candidate, and vice versa. It's a beautiful American story for the rest of us. A nightmare for all the right people ;) It's so New York.

There is nothing redeemable about this country. A few pockets of noble resistance ribboned throughout, people trying to undo the damage it does or at least carve out lives for themselves that don't make them complicit...but on the whole we are violent, venal, dominating, greedy, and thoughtless.

I keep thinking about this New Yorker cartoon. Here’s what I’ve learned from being in these types of meetings as a consultant: 1. Only ever work with ONE point of contact. 2. Never be in those types of meetings again.

Anyone who has ever worked in ops/systems knew this was going to end badly. We’ve all worked with new bosses that come in and think they know better - that they can just fire people and get rid of things (that were there for a reason). When we’ve known all along it’s always about processes.

This is propaganda. 😆

This week @meighanotoole.com asked Notion to stop adding " (1)", " (2)" to duplicated pages. It can be helpful to make it obvious to users that pages are distinct by adding numerical counters like this, so I don't think removing them is the right call. But it got me curious: how might we do both?

I’m going to be that person where I come on here and say I need to start posting and engaging here lol. But I do. Threads is insufferable, FB is AI slop, scams, ads, and groups/people I do not follow. LinkedIn is surprisingly ok.

I mean, at least they’re saying how they’ve felt for FORTY PLUS YEARS out loud now. So, there’s that.

A fun thing to do after watching this is google "US worker productivity vs real wages since 1970"

Has this guy been to Boston? Fist fighting is a pastime here. Soooo I guess good luck with all that.

I’m rewatching Veep with my niece (she’s a Zoomer and it’s one of her all times favs). One thing I noticed watching it is how big a role Twitter used to play in popular culture. I truly miss what Twitter was. ☹️

I sincerely don’t know why people aren’t physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons

I said goodbye to my best girl on Saturday. It was unexpected. I’m so grateful I work for myself because the grief is overwhelming. I knew it would be hard, but was not prepared for the depths of sadness. We don’t talk enough about the grief of losing a pet. 💔

In French, ‘entrepreneur’ used to mean “undertaker” or “funeral director.” The words ‘undertaker’ and ‘entrepreneur’ are very similar: an entrepreneur “undertakes” a business, and the French word comes from ‘prendre,’ meaning “to take.”

I’m all for retweets. It’s how I find other interesting people/info. But I’m realizing I need to unfollow people who *relentlessly* RT. My TL is not as active as it should be so these accounts are all I see. I understand I need to be more active here but the above creates a bit of a vacuum for me.

If you have ADHD and struggle with being consistent with client leads and onboarding I HIGHLY recommend visually mapping out your entire workflow, creating an SOP from it, and follow it to a T. Even after 12 yrs of freelancing if I don’t follow this something invariably falls through the cracks.

If Dems truly believe that the pardon of Hunter is going to undermine our faith in the justice system, then we are way more screwed as a party than I thought.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

President Joe Biden faced mounting criticism Monday for his decision to issue a sweeping pardon of his son, with a number of Democrats expressing concern that it would undercut faith in the justice system and provide ammunition to President-elect Donald Trump’s efforts to remake it.

Reclaiming yarn today. I knitted a sweater 2 years ago, and it fit terribly. La Bien Aimee’s Confetti in Greybow is too amazing to exist in a sweater I’ll never wear. Check out all those little nubs. It’s recycled yarn. 🤩

I’m reading The Dictionary of Lost Words - historical fiction about the Oxford English Dictionary. The way the dictionary came about is wild. There was a crowdsourced campaign for English speakers to send in “slips” of paper from all over the world, each had a word + its definition.

Sailing into the wknd w 6 happy clients. It began with a client’s VA telling me on Sunday night to redo what I built based on a new spreadsheet. After no input, no review, no use of what I built. I encouraged them countless times. Project ended last week. 😆😮‍💨 Ending on a high note is a relief.
