The Meat Mummy - Movie 27: The 'Burbs (Tubi) God, I just love this one. I wish Hanks would do more goofball movies, and while Fisher and Schall are just stunning in it. Everyone involved is at the top of their game, and the message hits home now more than when the movie first came out.

The Meat Mummy - Movie 26: Ernest Scared Stupid (Prime) This is actually the first scary movie I got to see in theaters, so it's something that I always watch this time of the year. Maybe Varney's best Ernest movie, with Camp being the next closest. Just a genuinely good scary movie for kids.

The Meat Mummy - Movie 25: Halloween 3: Season of the Witch (Prime) This is one of those movies that's not as bad as people said it was upon release, but isn't as good as people try to say it is now. It's weird and fun and has some great Halloween atmosphere, but the story is a mess.

The Meat Mummy - Movie 24: Hack-O-Lantern (Tubi) This has quickly become one of my favorites during the Halloween season. It's cheap, low brow, dumb, violent, sleazy, and has some just weird ass acting all throughout. It's perfect.

The Meat Mummy - Movie 23: Chopping Mall (Tubi) Probably tied with Return of Swamp Thing for Wynoski's best movie. Just a fun tight little horror movie that makes zero sense. (Why do security robots need anti-rubble laser?) Plus, Paul and Mary Bland show up. Good stuff all around.

The Meat Mummy - Movie 22: Maniac Cop (Tubi) It's kind of crazy this was released in '88, because it just feels like something from much earlier in the decade. A little seedier and more grimy and other movies this late in the 80's. Empty streets, dirty cops, an entire city afraid of a single killer.

That leaked Mass Effect Universe trailer just makes the Bioware closure sting all the harder.

It's been killing the tabletop gaming communities. Assholes posting AI generated D&D adventures, AI "painted" Battletech miniatures, AI generated art assets for board games, and on and on. I'm tired of this garbage.

He always has been an absolute chud.

Have no memory of living in a world without Tom Skerritt being in lots and lots of movies and TV shows. He was always, always, always really good in everything he did. Rest In Peace.

I agree that Valve should protect indies from AI, but I just wanna say that RPGs are often too expensive to vibecode. Someone tried and it cost tens of thousands of $ in tokens, not counting art. RPG is also one of the buggiest genres, vibecoders can't fix bugs. Make more RPGs to save the industry.

We're about ten minutes into the new MST3k, Deathsport, and the writing is SO TIGHT! How they keep getting funnier is mind blowing. There is no upper limit??? Thanks @billcorbett.bsky.social and everyone else.
