Thank goodness for heavy metal music because I can wear my "invaders must die" shirt with skulls and sunflowers growing through the eyes through TSA and people just assume it's a band.

While Ukrainian drones were striking oil depots, the Russians hit a children’s hospital in Kherson. Among the injured are three medical workers who sustained blast injuries and wounds of varying severity. In total, nine people were injured in the attack — including four children.

It would cost $24 billion to extend the Affordable Care Act’s health care subsidies that help Americans pay for health insurance for the next year. Instead, Donald Trump is bending backwards to give $20 billion in taxpayer money to Argentina. Make it make sense.

GOP Nazis banned a student from visiting America because they found this picture of terrorist pedophile JD Vance on his phone - please post it everywhere. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!! 🍊 🌮 💩

It was a good call bombing Iran. It would have been better if it was a surprise, hopefully they didn't get too much out of the facilities beforehand but the Israelis probably had a good sense of when to do it. There's no reason to reactively hate this action just because the president sucks.

Aside from the Syrians, Netanyahu is weirdly the only person who seems to have realized yet how to take advantage of the Russian weakness while Georgia and sub Saharan Africa twiddle their thumbs.

If the Russians move away from Trump based on this, it will create an opening for Zelensky. I think that he would be wise to make a congratulatory statement. If the Iranian regime is knocked out - especially Khamenei, we get a ton of operating room in the Middle East.

We circumscribed our own capabilities out of caution for a long time but world war 3 has already started - hitting hard early is the correct move. That Moscow is not yet burning is an embarrassment, but this is a step in the right direction. The biggest drawback is what China can learn from this

The best part was when Tulsi and Vance came out strongly against it and Trump blew right past them - Trump is clearly not 100% a Russian asset even though most of his team is. We'll see how the Russians adapt their U.S. influence program as a result. The U.S. remains a strong country don't forget it

The Chinese have provided billions in critical materiel for the Russian military, but our bureau on Eastern Europe staffed entirely by people educated in Moscow somehow obtained a document that reports "misgivings" so it's hard to say which side they're on. @nytpitchbot.bsky.social

I’ve heard from a solid source that medical supplies from US to frontline medics in Ukraine are being withheld through USAID and military logistics. If true this is absolutely unacceptable.

Friends, May we never forget that while negotiations, statements, addresses and the rest of the (undoubtedly important) diplomacy track are happening, exhausted #Ukrainian men &women in military uniform are holding back evil on the frontlines. Without them, there would be no diplomacy track at all.

Haven't heard much from Russia's man "Lex" since his interview with Zelensky ended up not making Zelensky look bad like they were super hoping it would and instead made him look pretty reasonable to an overwhelmingly conservative audience.

My wife is foreign and occasionally I'll spout some science fact I learned in school and she'll react with "pff, I don't believe that" and it takes some self-control to remember - that's what you're supposed to do - that's science. No data - no belief.

a disconcertingly high percentage of the time I will find after a google spiral that the clean textbook fact was actually some half-truth working theory in a messy bit of experimentation.

Sometimes you play a good song on Spotify and after that it's random garbage but occasionally you hit the perfect algorithm and it's just bangers for the rest of the day

The global economic catastrophe of 2008 was caused by subprime lending and the recovery was precipitated primarily by the release of Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull's "on the floor" (2011)

The interesting thing is that Trump's power began to fade permanently the moment he won the election. It's still just about at its peak, but the inexorable trend is for it to just slip away now. If he's not running, he's not carrying candidates with him, and his popularity will fade while in office.
