It’s kinda refreshing to get an email from a company saying Happy Father’s Day without a link, without a sales pitch, just “hey, happy Father’s Day” and that’s it. So, for those who celebrate, Happy Father’s Day.

But the exact opposite is true: Jesus was a carpenter. He came, humbly, with very little fanfare, not to sit on a throne, but to dwell among His people as one of them, not like the rich and powerful, not as a ruler, not as a dictator, but as a saviour and friend.

In my not-so-triumphant return to BlueSky, my hot take: Canadian #soccer fans should not support #FIFA. They’ve sucked up to #Trump and in doing so are complicit in tariffs and threats/suggestions of #Canada becoming part of the US. I’m not a soccer fan, so it’s easy for me. 🤷‍♂️

They’re all bought and sold. The winds of change just change who they influence with their money. Countries don’t serve their constituents (though I’m sure some individual elected officials do), they serve the oligarchs. We need to stop fighting each other, stop serving and idolizing the puppets.

Everyone seems to recognize this, but because it’s the politicians that make the most noise, they garner the most attention through hate and/or vehement support. They are the ones weaponizing hate to distract from the oligarchs who thirst for money and power that will never be quenched.

Let’s make one thing clear: Kevin O’Leary doesn’t care about Canada. He’s belligerent and doesn’t care about people. It’s all a ratings and/or power grab. Get out of our politics like you got out of our country.
