Reposting this, as if I have bigger reach than @rust-lang.org Anyway, the world would benefit from more efficient and safe software, that’s for sure. Would love to use more Rust in my job (and so do some of my colleagues)
It is time for the annual State of Rust Survey! 📝✨️️ Whether you've just begun using Rust, are an experienced Rust user, stopped using Rust, or might use Rust in the future, we'd like to hear from you! 🦀 Available in ten languages and open until December 17th: blog.rust-lang.org/2025/11/17/l...

Today, on the International Day of the #Deaf, the Flemish Sign Language Expertise Centre launched a world-first dictionary search system supporting over 10k signs. It’s based on my #PhD research, continued by a PhD student I’m co-supervising now. Very proud! gebaren.ugent.be Check it out

“Any time I hear the goal being ‘AGI’ in the context of these LLMs, I feel like listening to a bunch of 18th-century aristocrats trying to get to the moon by growing trees.” I rather like this analogy I found on hackernews. news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4436...

Windows 10 support is ending and not all PC hardware supports Windows 11. I, for example, have a perfectly good PC at home that cannot upgrade. Better than avoiding a large investment and creating more e-waste? Giving your hardware another 5 to 10 years of life with Linux
The end of Windows 10 is approaching, so it’s time to consider Linux and #LibreOffice: blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2025/06...
🍹 Our robot butler, previously featured by VRT NWS (lnkd.in/e_7n4QWC), will serve drinks to attendees of imec ITF World. 🤖 It will do this fully autonomously, from grabbing bottles from the fridge, to detecting glasses, pouring drinks, and discarding empty bottles. AIRO.ugent.be/itfworld
Our robot butler was shown on Monday on national television, serving chocolate milk to passersby. Our work on general purpose robots continues!
Een robotkelner die je drankje serveert? We werken eraan. De volgende iteratie zal te zien zijn op het Imec Technology Forum (20 en 21 mei in Antwerpen) www.imecitf.com/world vrtnws.be/p.LKPM7mJvK4p
Starting a new #robotics codebase in Python just got a little bit easier: AIRO-mono packages are now available on #PyPI! github.com/airo-ugent/a...
