If you went around asking people what their thoughts on "woke 1" were, the most common response you would get is "What are you talking about?" We really need to stop accepting the framing of pundits that have cooked their brains on X as being any way representative of reality.

Minority women are far and away the most reliable Democratic voting bloc. Every pol, pundit, and strategist that stood by Platner despite his red flags signaled that they were willing to throw those women under the bus to prop up a shitty white man. It wasn't just immoral, it was terrible strategy.

“Loitering is not permitted in this area. Please proceed to a designated location. Thank you for your cooperation,” a surveillance machine tells a small cluster of National Guard members as they patrol the fenced off Reflecting Pool in the rain.

Jaime Harrison is a failed Senate candidate that went on to oversee the DNC during the '24 election, when Democrats lost the presidency and both houses of Congress. He would very much like progressives to stop winning primaries, because losing general elections is his bread and butter.

I say this with no ill will or animosity: if you hate the Democratic Party, then please don’t run for our nomination. Don’t use our resources. Don’t rely on our volunteers. Don’t use our infrastructure. Don’t ask Democrats to invest their time, money, and energy in your campaign.

So, conservatives have had their hissy fit about the LA mayoral primary and completely forgotten about it already, right?

It would cost Dem politicians absolutely nothing to just say "the US government shouldn't get between a patient and a doctor", but instead they choose to throw trans kids under the bus every single time.

Every time a man in the public eye does something horrible, a whole lot of other men with seemingly no dog in the race feel compelled to jump in and defend him. It doesn't even seem to register that simply not commenting on the situation is an option - they cannot help but tell on themselves.

there's a real feeling of like...if a man did something horrible to me or someone i know that guys like this just wouldn't fucking care

Watching the discourse around Platner has been a good reminder that not everyone I agree with on policy is someone I'd consider decent. It's disheartening to see the type of behavior people are willing to ignore (or openly embrace) to score a political win.

Congratulations to everyone who said it would get this bad. Your prize is watching everyone who disagreed now claim no one could have predicted it would get this bad.

I usually stay away from interviews with Republicans because they've been repeating the same lies my entire life and at this point it just makes my blood boil to hear them out loud, but Hassett is always good for a laugh.

He seems to genuinely not understand that most Republican constituents aren't actually ultra-wealthy cartoon villains.

To believe Miller's vile, racist lie would require you to ignore that American culture has dominated globally for more than half a century. It is as unshakeable as it is inescapable.

in case you're wondering how the cope is going www.mediamatters.org/megyn-kelly/...

Presumably the reason Trump has been trying to starve children for the last month is so that they're too weak to fend off his sexual advances.

It's just the de facto spokesperson for the industry propping up the stock market pre-emptively asking for a government bailout.
