The stigma that “Nintendo died with Iwata” needs to fucking die. It’s naught but nostalgia blindness and invoking of the name of a dead man none of these people knew, and it discredits many great games that have come out since. There’s way more to Nintendo than just Iwata.

When trans creators are subtle, people dismiss the trans subtext as “headcanon.” When trans creators are loud and proud, people call it “obnoxious” and “cringe.” They just don’t want us to be represented in media at all. Because they don’t want us to exist at all.
