Straight out of the Abuser's Handbook: Distract the other person from your awfulness by accusing them of doing the awful things. Everything they're going after Democrats for are things THEY'RE the ones actually doing.

Me speaking about the magic of birds in flight: "I love that birds can just fly. They're so three dimensional. Much more satisfying to watch than an earthbound pet. Just leap off the curtain rod and soar. Tracing an arc across the room like that would kill a hamster, but for a bird it's nothing."

It's Autism Acceptance Month. Will there be another one, next year? That all depends on you. It depends on everyone. Stand with us against this assault on our autonomy, agency, and dignity. When future generations ask what you did to stop this, what will you say?

“It's hypocrisy to call yourself a Christian and chase away a refugee or someone seeking help, someone who is hungry or thirsty, toss out someone who is in need of my help. If I say I am Christian, but do these things, I'm a hypocrite." -Pope Francis

Pope Francis died today. While some popes in history chose silence or diplomatic caution in the face of evil, Pope Francis raised his voice—not just as a spiritual leader, but as a defender of the vulnerable, even when it meant confronting the powerful.

There is still time. Confess that you were wrong. Commit now to make it right. Condemn cruelty, arrogance, and greed. Stand instead for righteousness, justice, mercy, service, compassion. Be the vessel. Be the voice. Shine the light. Cast out the darkness.

Pope Francis died today. While some popes in history chose silence or diplomatic caution in the face of evil, Pope Francis raised his voice—not just as a spiritual leader, but as a defender of the vulnerable, even when it meant confronting the powerful.

He was a vocal critic of the Trump administration's open hostility and cruelty toward the disadvantaged, saying: “How much contempt is stirred up at times towards the vulnerable, the marginalized and migrants.”

Pope Pius XI in 1937, “Whoever exalts race, or the people, or the State... above their standard value and divinizes them to an idolatrous level, distorts and perverts an order of the world planned and created by God.”

Been thinking a lot lately about the morals of Jesus of Nazareth. As a tan man from the Middle East, if Jesus were an undocumented American immigrant, I wonder if angry mobs would get ICE to deport him — especially for speaking out against greed and advocating for the poor.

We often look back on the seminal moments in our history and wonder "What would I have done?" This is our moment. This is our time. We must stand up. We must speak out. We must do everything we can to stop a President who has every intention of destroying our democracy.

Thank you Senator Cory Booker. This guy truly cares about the people he represents.

"I don't want a Disney vacation of our history! I don't a whitewashed history, I don't want a homogenized history. Tell me the wretched truth about America, because that speaks to our greatness" -- 20 hours into his speech, Cory Booker is spitting absolute 🔥
