Hey that's me!

The Gleam Language Update, from the person who started Gleam: @lpil.uk, Track 1, now. Whatever shipped this year, you're about to hear it first-hand. #CodeBEAM #Gleam

Really nice illustration of the cycle of developing an application, identifying concepts and extracting them by @becca.monster !

Can you build tool display any CVEs that your project's dependencies have? If so, can you share with me a screenshot of that that looks like please 🙏

Windows peeps! Is there a directory that is on your PATH by default that the Gleam install docs should recommend you use for the precompiled binaries?

It is wild that Jak rewrote the entire backend of the Gleam compiler from scratch and nothing has broken

Giving $300,000 to the world's most well funded collection of Arch Linux dotfiles is a really odd decision, and that's before the politics of the project.

Tonight is the night! See you later, London peeps!

london gleamlins, come join us on the 18th of august for a meetup! @renatillas.dev will be talking to us about event sourcing, and i'll of course be preaching the good word about #atproto and maybe there'll be a little surprise launch too 🤭 luma.com/vacn20ag

another post in which I bang on about how companies should support their open source dependencies

Happy to say we were in an excellent position in terms of security before the program even began! ⭐ But there were still things we learned from @securitylab.github.com! Check @lpil.uk's key takeaways from the @github.com Secure Open Source Fund program: gleam.run/news/help-fr...

Aha! I can finally talk about this! I've been itching to spread the word and share some learnings. Thanks again to Microsoft and GitHub for inviting Gleam into the program, it has been fantastic.

In Session 4 of the GitHub Secure Open Source Fund, 50 projects upgraded their security posture through AI-assisted workflows, maintainer expertise, GitHub security tools, and more. As AI changes how software is built, maintainers remain at the center of protecting the open source ecosystem. 👇

I have a project to stream! Now I just need it to be cool enough in my flat for it to be tolerable to wear a tshirt. No one needs to see that.

Maybe I should stream again

Can anyone recommend a way to continuously send photos taken on my iphone to a Linux server? I've used a few things but haven't been totally happy with anything yet. Currently using Immich but I'd love something lighter for just sync files.

Went to the pub with some Gleamlins this evening, what a lovely bunch!! Even more looking forward to meetup on the 18th now.

Firefox's URL autocompletion has totally broken for me for some reason. At first it was annoying, but now after a couple days I'm quite liking it? My web browsing is much more intentional now, and I'm not habitually opening the news and social media as often.

The most focused I've been was around the same time I was experimenting with running my workstation without x11 or any graphical UI at all. This is obviously a bit extreme and impractical, but perhaps I should experiment with stripping everything back once more.

I've been thinking quite a bit these days that a frictionless experience may be a local-maxima overall. A healthy brain and strong attention-span brings much more benefits to my life than a more convenient computing experience.

See you there folks!
