Hello, I make fantasy ambient music using a combination of midi programming & modular synths. All Bandcamp purchases of my music come with system-agnostic TTRPG scenarios as an accompaniment. I am interesting in exploring the intersections between sound, space & play. Here is a thread of my work:

have been rinsing the Oneohtrix catalogue again a lot recently and forgot how great Age Of is. Might sneakily be one of the biggest influences on my own music without me even actively thinking about it….

I can trace the shift in my teenage music taste into my adult music taste to the exact date, which is September 20th 2003, when I stayed up to watch AFI guest host Rage and the first two tracks they played were New Noise by Refused and Come to Daddy by Aphex Twin

(Not that these artists are any more “adult” than AFI, just that my tastes were altered on a fundamental level in that moment and everything that followed was a direct result of my newly expanded horizons)

In case there was any doubt, Your Holy & Virtuous Heretic is definitely somewhere close to 「EMPOISONED」...

I strongly believe in the breadth and influence of independent art, to grant us oblique angles on the world and ourselves. But also every indie game is somewhere on this spectrum:

Playing FF Tactics for the first time? Here’s a tip. Go to Mandalia Plain. You’re gonna spend 5 miserable hours having all your characters power up like goku next to a terrified bird or have them throw rocks at each other until they’re max level. This is the best game ever made btw.

End of term always drains me almost completely dry, but in between marking and class prep I’ve played about 12 hours of Silksong and have already had a good handful of “hahaha holy shit” moments. Last night I experienced The Slab and couldn’t stop grinning the whole time

There’s a (very) brief melodic interval in this piece that evokes the Song of Prayer from FFX. I think that elegiac quality combined with the moment of entry to Greymoor, it all coalesced and struck me. This game already felt different to HK but this was the moment the WORLD felt different
