Tired of faffing around cleaning up shoddy markup when carrying out accessibility assessments? Not enough hours in the day to tinker with the many options in the HTML De-crapulator? Then what you need is the '1-Click De-crapulator'! a11y-tools.com/bookmarklets...

For all those people who had doubts about whether Saturday Night Live UK would suck, here we have SNL UK calling out the US version for being a dick. It’s perfect #SNL #SNLUK

Katie Zachiaria managed to clock in just 1/3 of a Mooch. That’s gonna take some beating.

A lot of thought and work has gone into this - looking forward to seeing more additions now that it's live :)

I clicked on a link while updating some details on PSN web site. A link. You know, a link, right? It gave me this alert. Um ... that's kinda the point of a link, my dudes.

Apparently it was @heydonworks.com, not @aardrian.bsky.social who said this ... and it was sociopaths, not psychopaths. I was close!

"Underline your links, you psychopath ". I may have imagined this, but I could SWEAR this was a comment from Adrian Roselli. Whatever, I agree. Anyway, it seems like the psychopaths have the upper hand - too many links out there without underlines to this day.

I got grumpy about it, so I built a single purpose browser extension that does this, and only this: underlines links. 👉 Link Underliner a11y-tools.com/extensions/#... Minimal options on this that let you apply to all links, just those inside <main> element, or OFF.

To whoever decided to use the track “Nobody Speak” by DJ Shadow featuring RunThe Jewels in Coyote VS ACME, take a mother-bleeping bow. I can’t remember the last time I lost my shit completel, laughing to the point of crying in a cinema. Bravo.

In case you’re wondering why that is so funny, go listen to that track. Then, realise they deliberately chose a swear-ridden track for the sole purpose of them bleeping it out. With Road Runner’s beep. There was a lot of beeping going on. Fucking hilarious!

Matt spent the last few years doing a bad Elon Musk impersonation and it looks like the board finally had enough. I can only guess that it’s because the money is running out. Boards tolerate a lot so long as the money is flowing. www.404media.co/wordpress-au...

NEWS: Donald Trump’s own nephew, Fred Trump, is publicly calling out his uncle’s lies about 9/11, saying Trump’s claim that he brought a crew of workers to Ground Zero “so offends me that I need to speak out.”

After a long time trying, I finally sold my motorbike today. However, let’s just say that I didn’t have high hopes of the buyer actually taking it away without incurring an injury or damaging the bike!

He said that he had a ramp for it, but with the height of the van, and the short length of ramp, it was an almost 45° angle! And that’s a heavy, 900 CC motorbike to get up there. Thankfully, there were some spare pallets.

We had to arrange the pallettes to get a more gradual start, then move the first pallettes to the front once used. Building the ramp as we moved along it!

With the additional some other bits of wood I found in my shed and a bit of carefully applied throttle, he managed to get it into the back of the van. It was, to put it bluntly, dodgy as fuck!

TPGi (or Vispero, I should say, as TPGi no longer exists as a brand/company) have been up to their tricks again. Last year, a whole bunch of technical articles were removed from their blog, articles that had been there for years and with many, many incoming links.

I hope that other ex TPG/TPGi folks are able to do the same with their own articles, as there are some really good articles that have been lost in this latest cull. And if that's you, please add a link to updated pages in a reply :)

I doubt that they will make another reappearance on the Vispero blog, so if you have ever referred to any of these/linked to them, please update your links to their new home :)

I just spent an hour and a half fighting with CSS in a WordPress post, trying to debug why a local style was not overriding a global style, despite it having greater specificity and with no typos. It was as if the style was not there at all.

Then I remembered that 2 line breaks in WordPress convert it to a <p> tag. <p>.myNewOverridenStyle {outline-offset:0!important;}</p> ... was never going to work. I am skilled CSS craftsman, ask me anything! (Sometimes DevTools isn't as useful as the humble Right click > View page source)
