Hello, I'm Lizard, a twitter refuge. I'm a comp sci major working at a small town pizza shop in Ohio while I get through my degree. My primary interests are - D&D and other TTRPGs, doing a Blades in the Dark game rn - 3D printing, though I've been too busy to do it recently - Volkswagen brainrot

one of my favorite little facts about the restaraunt I work at is I know for a fact that place does not have any functioning fire alarms lmao I have gotten so much smoke in that building before that I've had to put on every extractor fan for several minutes and go outside, and still no alarm.

modern gaming is so fucking wack. I can play a game that looks like it came out 7 years ago and somehow it lags on a machine I spent over 1,000 dollars on literally less than a year ago and we're supposed to act like it's perfectly normal

this might sound dumb, but honestly there's something I miss about having a car thats just an absolute fucking beater. There's something freeing about driving a car so shitty that nobody cares if you break shit on it.

once someone accidentally hit my car while it was parked, and came to the house I was in super stressed out, and I'm just sitting there like "this thing literally isn't even worth the insurance claim"

"I should get into woodworking" I think surrounded by a rusty shelf I've half sanded down, innumerable unfinished 3D printing projects, an unfinished soldering project, an entire car I need to replace the engine on, and unfinished notes from all of the studying I haven't done

istfg I couldn't figure out why I couldn't level my 3D printer, and it turns out a fucking bolt securing the hotend was loose, so it was wiggling around too much I thought I was just a dipshit who was incapable of leveling a 3D printer, but I guess not

The year is 2035. I meet President AOC in the Oval Office. "You've done well," she says. "By telling men to dress gay, you've lowered the population rate by 90%, thereby reducing carbon emissions." She slides me a manilla envelope. I can now afford a home in a walkable neighborhood

Drive my car halfway into a ditch, managed to back it out, and it started overheating due to snow piled up in the radiator *then* the accessory belt (which drives the alternator) got broken off at some point, so interesting day

Driving a car without an alternator is a he'll of an experience Casually driving around trying to pretend like everything is normal as you don't have power steering and everything in the car systematically begins turning off around you

my parents refuse to give me to login info to access the app I need to unkick myself from the wifi, and god knows they're not competent enough to do anything on it, so everytime it happens that device literally just can't access the internet again until the next day

I love how janky and makeshift everything feels in 3D printing Like I just stuck my filament in front of a space heater for several minutes and it drastically improved print quality It's also very common for people to apply a gluestick to the print bed before printing to improve adhesion

I have several wires physically soldered to the motherboard because the wire connectors that come with the printer suck ass I have a box filled with filament, silica gel, and a lizard heating pad to keep filament dry

it's a fascinating study into the minds of anime fans that evangelion ended up being the subject of decades long ship war, with people frothing at the mouth over which they want to fuck, when two characters have basically explicitly unhealthy sexual feelings for major adult figures in their life

Slowly realizing that the reason I feel okayish most of the time is because I keep myself in a constant state of pressure where there is always something else to do, and as soon as I actually have freetime I kind of fall apart

During the school year I had class Monday through Friday and then worked for basically the entirety of Friday through Sunday while being in 3 separate RPG games. There was not time for me to realize I was miserable when ever I ran out of work to do because I simply never ran out of work

Misa Amane from death note would be a super cool character if they decided to give her literally any agency for more than like 2 episodes in the entire series. her plots are way more interesting than light's when they actually let her do things

I fucking despise that now for any product even remotely obscure you are virtually required to order it online, or if you can order it in a physical retail location it is invariably sold for like twice what the item is worth.

went to office depot the other day because I realized I needed a displayport cord for my setup (since modern graphics cards only have 1 fucking HDMI port) and their cheapest displayport cable was over fucking 30 dollars. 30 dollars for a single capable I can order for like 12.

when I see a full knife block with more than 5 knives the pretentious chef inside of me awakens to judge you. Like if the whole ass kitchen I work at only needs 5 knives, your ass sure as hell doesn't need 10 I refuse to use anything other than a chef, paring, or bread knife just out of principle.
