"No day, but today..." 🎵 Without doubt, the best production of #RENT that I have ever seen (inc. recordings + movie) 🤯 The cast were ALL phenomenal and on another level of performance, esp. Angel, Collins and - my fav - Mimi 🥺 Fantastic atmosphere, everyone was in the moment. Highly recommended ❤️

𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗢⬩𝟭𝗞 𝗝𝗔𝗠 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 has now finished 🏁 👨‍💻 We had 83 awesome entries (a new record!) 🏅 Please check them out: 🌐 itch.io/jam/pico-1k-... A mix of 🕹️ Games, 📺 Demos & 🛠️ Tools. All done in #Pico8 (or #Picotron), using ≤ 1KB of 🗜️ code Congrats everyone! 👏🤓 #Pico1k #GameJam #Demoscene #Sizecoding

My first time entering #pico1k jam. Very rushed so not my best work... I'll try to enter again next year and make something better. Most of my daily carts happen to be under 1k compressed bytes already, so I wanted to make a game for my jam entry rather than just another animation

In SUPAPONG, every move costs time. You can stop and think as long as you want - but every move pushes the ball forward. PONG meets SUPERHOT in 843 compressed bytes. Play here: glebv.itch.io/supapong or find SUPAPONG in Splore. #Pico1k #PICO8 #GameDev #IndieDev #IndieGame

I've spritzed up the graphics a bit, and added sound effects. It's still only at 943 compressed bytes, so I might try to make a version that fits into 1k uncompressed, as a challenge! #PICO8 #pico1k

#picotron port of #doom under way major roadblock lifted today: sprite masking against geometry 😰 a *lot* remains to be done - stay tuned!!

Well, I don't think I have time for a full game or demo for #pico1k, but I made a little procedural art sketch :)

I'm starting to put a little something together for the #pico1k jam! I thought it would be a fun challenge to make a playable single-player version of Connect Four in 1k, but I'm not sure if it's possible yet (if not, I can default to 2 player only!)

My #pico1k #pico8 attempt is becoming a sort of 'make a little garden' game. You need to periodically harvest something to keep playing, but the enemies had to go due to lack of bytes.

I made a short Narrative game about self-care for the #pico1k jam in exactly 1024 bytes. You can click/tap the petals to pluck them and progress the story. Hope you enjoy <3 #gamedev #pico8

Some cheap #pico8 worldgen for a possible #pico1k game: cls()for y=40,127do line(0,y,128,y,y/16-1)end pal(4,0)for i=1,14000do x,y=rnd(128),rnd(120) circfill(x,y,y/20,pget(x,y+.3))end

so here's what it takes to shave off ~60 bytes from a #pico8 cart. not a true #codegolf though, as carts for #pico1k jam use pxa compression and one has to counterintuitively repeat the code to make it similar. well, anyway i managed to put the outro into 4 bytes.

Dog Walker Bungee Allergy is self-explanatory, but very tricky to play. Managing your own movement while swinging around your dog (without sending them out of bounds, or into yourself or others) isn't immediately intuitive. I didn't do any playtesting before releasing it. #pico8 #pico1k jam
