Hey #screenshotsaturday I'm making a game. An interactive horror story inspired by The Little Shop of Horrors. Finished the mockup today, going to be a busy few months! Excited to share more as it comes. #gamedev #indiegame #pixelart

I've always been a visual person and most narrative tools like Twine or Inky don't work with how I think. Thought I'd try something new. Love the idea behind Stuffed Wombat's arrow engine, so I decided to work on something adjacent. Have lots of ideas on how I can make the game more interactive.

finally managed to do precognition, a kind of obscured core functionality of the Disco Elysium text-renderer

I made a short Narrative game about self-care for the #pico1k jam in exactly 1024 bytes. You can click/tap the petals to pluck them and progress the story. Hope you enjoy <3 #gamedev #pico8

I'm working on my point & click idea, and game design is just soo much harder than everything else I do. I feel like I have theoretical skills, applying them in practice is a different beast entirely. I'll try and get something decent I'm willing to share soon. Just have to stop scrapping things :/

Explain ur @ When I was younger I played a lot of pures in Old School Runescape (pvp builds in an mmo), but I thought "Holy" was too pretentious thus the opposite. Brie's just my name :3

I really want to add some sprite-stacking to my game, but I have no tools to support that kind of workflow in-engine. Implementing it seems easy enough, but I realized that making art for it was going to be a headache.

So I found a lovely open-source Godot tool for this (link below) and spent my morning learning the engine to fix a couple of bugs and add some features I needed. I see why people use it, there's so much you can do, and relatively easily. But it's very overwhelming at first :/

Spent the day building a debug menu and implementing some basic fly movement. The renderer keeping up with everything is really satisfying, honestly way more performance than I actually need :) #gamedev #indiedev #indiegame

While working on some basic creatures I realized they can be seen outside the "circle", which makes no sense. I got sidetracked and spent the rest of the day on this instead (my engine doesn't support stencil buffers lol). I'll likely scrap it and try to implement the rest properly tomorrow. #wip

Hey! It's been a hot minute. Last year just flew by. Hope everyone's doing well despite everything <3 I burnt out hard, but I did get lots done as things felt better. I rewrote my engine from the ground up (now C++), made some bad prototypes, and more importantly, decided on a game I want to make.

You are up to date.
