Holy Undead is out A game by Kinetic Novels, a new sister brand of Key, and the first winner of Visual Arts' Kinetic Novels Contest. The story follows a necromancer reincarnated as a saintly girl. JP/EN/CN. The game was delisted from Steam.

I played less games this year, but played plenty of long RPGs. Also, I lost count how many times I've fallen asleep in bed with a controller/Steam Deck in my hand. Ace Attorney is just that comfy. 😆

A week ago, I've reached the “Destroy the Throne” Ending in SMTV Vengeance, on the Creation route. The story was fine, I suppose. It only touches off the characters' motivation for the briefest moment. I generally don't mind sparse storytelling, but it was rather poorly implemented in this route.

The Vengeance route, however, fared much better. The two supporting characters and their clashing of ideas provides much needed context, and it's fairly obvious from the start that Nahobino had to choose between the two. It's fairly cliché, but it's done well in this instance.

The “All Wishes Are Fulfilled” ending is pretty much what I expect from a typical “Law” SMT ending. I didn't get the “True” ending yet, but I'm feeling some kind of burnout— most likely from fighting Demi-fiend on both routes, so my SMTVV journey is on hold for now. Only 4 endings to go! 🥳

Learning how package management works in Arch Linux, so I can build and install a package on my Steam Deck, that will allow me to convert a bin image to iso image, so that I can finally install the game that may or may not work on Steam Deck to begin with... 🥴
