Maeda Jun's life in general is very tragic. Not only he didn't think much of himself (always saw himself below others - example being he doesn't consider Kanon to be his work. He considers himself to be inferior to Hisaya Naoki despite putting effort into creating Kanon as much as Hisaya did…)

From being screwed over with all his anime original content, being bullied on internet over some of them even to the point he deactivated his account… Even considered suicide after backlash over one of HBR's events. Then all heart issues a decade ago over which forced him to cancel AB! VNs.

It's all so tragic and honestly I think he deserves better. I hope he enjoys what he was rest of his life doing what he loves… and I hope he knows that his works changed a lot of people and that he's in no way inferior compared to anyone…

Out of all sixth generation consoles, video output wise, the PlayStation 2 aged the worst. Even with a video upscaler you'll still get a blurry output. The Xbox, GameCube, and even heck the Dreamcast too, have such a great video output when set to 480p.

Such is a way when vast majority of PS2 games are basically 480i. The hardware was really weak compared to competition. Sadly though it was the most successful one too...

One fascinating thing about difference between Dreamcast and other versions of Ever17 is that in the DC ver. Sora's stole isn't transparent at all. This is exclusive to Dreamcast for some reason.

I wonder why is that the case… I assumed it's because perhaps the Sega developed filesystem (PVR) doesn't support transparency? The sprites that are dumped from the Dreamcast version don't have a transparent background for are rather green entirely. In the PS2 version, they are transparent.
