100% not trying to be rude to Ted here, but "sensing" isn't the right word. D linemen, especially interior ones, practice that leg drop relentlessly. Even tho Murphy isn't looking at the tackle, he sees as soon as the ball is snapped that the center isn't coming his way...

Byron Murphy (no. 91) takes on the LG and senses the LT is coming to try take him out on a double team, leans away from it to avoid the hit, and holds up at POA Freak athlete

so that the only possible double team is coming from the guard. That there's gonna be a double team is an almost certainty given the ball is coming right at him. Not to discount he's a freak athlete - all NFL players are - but that's technique he's drilled countless times, not just raw athleticism.

He didn't sense it so much as he saw and processed the information given to him and knew through years of training the correct counter technique. Again, it's great athleticism, but the implication leaves off the skill and diligence and training combined with it.

Trump and Republicans are restarting their voter fraud misinformation machine ahead of the midterms. When I checked, Republican candidates were implicated in voter fraud at up to 38,000x the public’s rate. If they were actually worried about voter fraud, they’d start with their own candidates.

Your religion is a day planner and gas station sunglasses? Can't be any weirder than what we've got now, more power to you, I guess

sorry i need to publicly be a hater for a second but what do you mean the giant 230k+ signature save mass effect petition is only about the IP and not the devs that were laid off

Videogames is the creative field where creatives are least recognised, most of the time their names are hidden away on the finished product. This is obviously deliberate on the industry's part but the audience enables it when they fail to care about the people who make this stuff.

Not a big story, it's just the Attorney General working with an imprisoned pedophile to help cover up the pedophile President's crimes conducted with his best friend for 15 years, a pedophile who the President sent, as a birthday card, a drawing of a naked adolescent girl.

This report is genuinely overwhelming, in terms of the evidence both against Trump and of a ham-fisted cover-up. Including one instance in which Ghislaine Maxwell was actually about to mention one of Trump's young accusers and Todd Blanche told her to stop talking. The media response is "yawn."

Regular reminder that when you go to things while sick, you are giving those germs to people with autoimmune disorders, you’re passing them to someone’s newborn, to someone’s elderly parents. It’s “just a cold” to you but it can and does severely impact countless people.

“This is comical. This is insulting. This is a preposterous mishandling of your product at the worst imaginable time … League owners might want to tear up Engelbert’s resignation letter, just so they can fire her instead.” (gift link)

The interest rate on a mortgage is up 20%, your groceries have gone up another 20%, your gas is up 40%, your utilities are up 30%, and your annual raise was 2% (if you're lucky), but this tube sock filled with milk is telling you it's a myth that things cost more.

I don’t know folks, it seems to me that the kids might have been right about their ruling class being full of deeply racist, misogynist sex offenders. Perhaps that whole Cancel Culture panic was badly wrong, and apologies are in order? Not least because it was obviously vexatious *at the time*.
